Credit card was charged nearly $2000 over several months after software had expired. Should have stopped when software was expired.
Received "software has expired" message on Pool Studio software system several months ago. Could not access the software. Structure Studio continued to bill $165 per month for at several months even though we could not access the system. We just discovered this through an audit of our expenses. Called them today 7/25/2013 and told them this. They claim that I still had access to the system but I did not. We could not and have not been using the system for over a year and don't need the software anymore. They called today and offered a 3 months of the service free to remedy this situation. I told them that since we are not and do not need the system anymore that this remedy did not make sense. Especially since we are talking about around $2000 in charges.
The interesting thing is that their system has a program that automatically communicates with the company every month to make sure you have made your monthly payment. If you do not make your payment, they software expires and prevents you from using the system. So they think it is OK to charge but not let you access the system, but not OK to use the system for free if you don't pay.
So they knew I had no access for all those months but continued to charge my credit card. This is not a way to do business and it is sad that they would not even try to credit any of this.
They will tell you that all I had to do was click some button and I would still get access but this is not true. Besides, if that was true, their monthly expiration system would be able to be easily circumvented and not prevent those not paying from using the system for free! So someone is not telling the truth here.

Hopefully, they will do the right thing. I have never filed a complaint for anything in my life but I just couldn't let this one go.
