Absolutely terrible business and people all together. they take advantage of college students unaware of all the measure they must take in order to protect themselves from slum lords like Struensees. They charge you for things that you assume are already consider with the condition of the house. They never follow up with repairs or any other complaints you may have. My roommates and I went without a kitchen sink for two months right at the beginning of us moving in. when they finally sent someone it was a old man who was mentally handicapped, and he later tried to come by and stick us with the bills for the repairs. They charged us for things that we had called to complain about throughout the year, like a fridge, toilet and busted radiator that they promised "was on its way". In the middle of winter my roommate was without heat in his room and the only time they stopped by was to disconnect the radiator pipe to his room, honestly the house should have been condemned. When their house fell apart as it did time and time again they kept track of all we were reporting to them and charged us for it. they even charged us for things that never existed in the house we just took that house as is not knowing they planned to charge us to fix all that was wrong. This company should be dismantled if not for any reason other than poor moral code, although there actions make me wonder if they even have any. It is no wonder that someone tried to set fire to their place of business not too long ago, guess I wasn't the first to have a bad experience with them.

This is the worst place I have ever lived. Upon moving in, we had no heat. We didn't know that until it was actually cold outside though because they must have never tested it. There was a HORRIBLE spider infestation that no one took care of until I had asked multiple times. The carpet has burn holes in it and it clearly wasn't shampooed because walking on it makes my feet black. Until I had called several nights in a row, there was no parking in the parking lot where I had two spots and one car. There is a hole above my shower where the shower head must have been in some distant past, and I will probably be charged for it being there. The doors to outside do not lock. So the hallways get trashed by the public. I have heard kids on the sidewalk point this place out and say, "you can go in there and do whatever because it's unlocked!" That is not okay. The windows do not hold heat in, the wind blows the curtains when the windows are closed. Nothing in this apartment looks like it was put together with care. The doors are two inches off the ground-- all of them, including the door to the hallway. The cabinets in the kitchen are crooked, and our oven's temperature system is definitely off. Recently, I couldn't get my door open. The spring in the latch to the handle had broken. My mother had called, because I am a college student and they are nothing but rude to me when I call--this includes them saying "not my problem" or "what do you want me to do about it" or hanging up on me. When she called they said that we abused our door and that's why it broke. The piece I was asking for to fix my door is like $10. He asked my mother how she knew she said because she's fixed doors in the past, she's a condo owner. They said it wasn't there problem, so now I have a dead bolt only, still in search of the right piece for my door.
I forgot to mention, a few weeks ago there were multiple squad cars in front of the apartment next to mine. Someone had passed away, a police man took a body bag out of the building. I had called my landlords to see what's going on, I was concerned. They told me that cops were there and that's all they know. There has been nothing in the paper or news. Some of the people living in the complex next door are sketchy to say the least.
If you are a college student, do not live here because they will take advantage of you. It's way over priced for the [redacted] you have to put up with. They've come into my home without telling me in advanced, I was asleep and didn't know they were in my home until after I woke up, what a pleasant surprise!
They've also towed my car from the parking lot before. That is a space I pay for to park in. I had to pay to get it removed from the impound, the fellow I talked to over at Struensee Properties did not give a [redacted] Be a business kids want to work with, not have to work with. Just because some of us are still in our teens doesn't mean we need to be acted like children. I am legally an adult, treat me with respect because that's what I give you.
