I am writing in response to the above-referenced complaint toward Stuart Mortuary, IncI am indeed familiar with this particular familyI met with both daughters at the
mortuary on more than one occasion and I assure you that this matter has been given my attention and the matter has been resolvedThe headstone was delivered to *** *** Cemetery on June 16, and as soon as Stuart Mortuary was notified, Angela R***, my assistant, called *** personallyAs an aside, ***'s uncle is a former employee of Stuart Mortuary and he and my father and Angela's father were close friendsIt was my presumption that keeping the closeness of our relationship and the communication, that the customer, *** *** her sister *** *** were satisfiedIn all fairness, I must also disclose that at former employee, *** ***, had been handling most of the headstone department of Stuart Mortuary, IncHe is no longer and employeeI can be reached via the points of contact listed on this stationery and my cell number is ***Please feel free to call if further clarification is necessary

Stuart Mortuary is the most unprofessional and unorganized company that I have EVER dealt with!!!! There service is absolutely horrendous!!!!! My family and I were referred to this funeral home by another family member and I wish we had done our research first before we entrusting these people with the final arrangements for my brotherMy brother passed away on January 30, and his funeral was held on February 8, My first compliant is that it took them SEVERAL days to pick up my brother's body from the Coroner's office; we had to call them several times to get them to go and get himThen, when it came to placing his obituary in the newspaper, they screwed that up and didn't even include his picture (which we had provided to them)! When it came to the actual funeral, they said that they would provide us with TWO framed pictures; one to put by his casket and another to put out in the hallway of the churchWell, we were only provided with one pictureAnother complaint is that the obituary in the program; we gave them a sheet of paper listing EXACTLY want we wanted to be said about my brother in the programThese mns decided to add in extra stuff that wasn't even true about him! They put that he attended Indianapolis Public Schools and enjoyed writing music is his spare timeI don't know where they got that information from but that is NOT what we wrote downNow, as I'm writing this (6/1/16), it's been almost months since he's been buried and there STILL isn't a headstone on the grave (which, unfortunately, was also purchased through Stuart)Additionally, we are still waiting on the death certificate from StuartWe called the Coroner’s office to verify that the death certificate had been mailed; it had been mailed to Stuart several weeks agoWe have been trying to contact Stuart for the past two months and they always have an excuse of the person who handles that stuff not being there or they've had some transition within the companyWhen we inquired why the headstone hadn't been installed yet, we were told that because of the winter weather the ground was too hard to dig into and install itHowever, I spoke with someone at *** *** *** (where my brother is buried) yesterday, (5/31/16) and was told that this winter wasn't that bad and that they had no problems with installing their headstonesAdditionally, Stuart hasn't even sent the setting fee over to *** *** yet! Stuart has been paid in full for all services rendered, so I do not understand why they're so slow about getting things doneIt's so frustrating; my family shouldn't have to deal with this bull crapMy brother left behind a two-year old daughter and we can't get the death benefits for her because Stuart won't give us the death certificate!!! Please, please, please DO NOT use this company for the final arrangements of anyone that you love and care aboutThese people are liars, unprofessional, and they will give you the run aroundI wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemyThis place is a sham!!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! There are other funeral homes in Indianapolis; definitely do your research

Hello august 2014 I was 22 weeks pregnant and lost my baby while in the womb. In the state of indiana 22 week or further you have to either have the infant cremated or have funeral. When named [redacted], that's mommy and daddy's angel. I went to stuart mortuary august 23, 2014 requesting them to cremate my baby I paid the same day. It is now May 2015 and It hasn't been done yet. I have been very patient and out of the 9 months I've called 5 or 6 times. Each time they do samething take my name and information and the babys information and tell me someone will be in contact. I called just last week for the last and final time because, this is just absolutley ridiculous. Someone took my name and number and told me they were closing and someome will call me in the morning. I've yet to hear from someone and it's like I'm reliving the moment all over again. :-( I've been so patient and me and my boyfriend were going to take the babys ashes and put them a little urn necklaces so he will always be close to our hearts. I'm almost feeling like they're not even going to give me the right ashes, it's so unprofessional I'm not sure what to think. This is the second child I've lost but, the first time I had a funeral and it was NOT with stuart mortuary. Her name was [redacted] she lived a month and 2 days and passed and that's mommy's angel too. She passed Feb 8, 2013. I'm strong young lady I really am but this I can no lomger take. No one has called and explained the process or anything to me, no one has even returned my last call on 5/8/15 and it's now 5/14. As a mourning mother can someone please look into this and help. PLEASE I'd really appreciate it!
