Concerning #[redacted] claim. The customer came into our store and purchased an upholstered sectional on 15 July 2009. Please find enclosed a sheet that shows all the different options that he had to choose from. Our store is a "special order house." Which means that what we show on the floor is a...

sample for the customer to look at, and sit on to make sure that they desire to order the pieces that they want and need for their home. Also, included is a copy of this customers order confirmation. This sectional was offered in all leather or leather match vinyl. After the customer thoroughly researched this product on the internet, he decided to come to us to order the sectional from us instead of ordering it off the internet from the company that manufactured it; he specified exactly what he wanted; we do not assume what the customer wants. The sample that was on the floor for him to look at and sit on was a leather match vinyl; which was explained to him before he ordered his sectional. Please note on the order confirmation the pieces state that he ordered the "Classic," this is the identification of the leather match vinyl. The customer to order the leather match like what was shown on the floor sample because it cost condierably less than a full leather sectional. If he had wanted to order the full leather sectional we would have happily ordered it for him. Also note that there was no manufacture defect in the sectional; the customer's cat damaged the sectional. The tear from the cat would have happened if the sectional was all leather. We do not feel that we should pay for repair of the sectional because the damage was not done by us, or the sectional was purchased from us and used. If there was a defect due to manufacturing we would certainly take care of the repair; however we are not responsible for a tear in the upholstery due to pet damage.

finishes and endless configuration options. After working with them to determine what they might want to purchase and quoting 6 to 8 weeks to build their custom system the gentleman or husband? with [redacted] was expressing impatience and was ready to leave. They inquired at that time about a large table set and was quoted and encouraged to special order it. He expressed a desire to purchase the table set off the floor and became rather harsh and started using foul language making it difficult to feel safe and comfortable to continue a dialog regarding the table set. At Stuart David all of our floor displays and floor models are available to purchase off the floor usually on a "sold as is" basis. We honor all advertised prices/tags or otherwise. We desire that all visitors to our showroom have a pleasant experience and we expect visitors to not display any hostility.... physically or verbally.

I am rejecting this response because:The response is completely inaccurate.  Upon arriving in the showroom we immediately expressed interest in purchasing the table and chairs that were advertised "floor model".  We then worked our way around the showroom deciding on the wall unit we were interested in.   The pricing and specifications quoted on the wall unit required some adjustments ie:  lighting added, upper unit included.   While waiting we reviewed the quote given for the table set and noted that it was higher than the marked "floor model".  We were then told the pricing was "discretionary" and that the owner would not want to sell the set for the marked "floor model" price. At no point was foul language used or any employee made to feel unsafe.  Yes we did leave abruptly when told the "floor model " pricing was discretionary.  If, in fact your products are available to purchase off the floor on a "sold as is basis"  as marked then why were we told we could not purchase the unit for the price marked?  That it was "discretionary"?

I am rejecting this response because, They are not being truthful about the way I was presented item. I was told it was ALL leather, at time of purchase.I was never NOT told there were two modes of purchase. I have submitted to you Revdex.com documentation showing it states , "Classic Regatta Leather", on my receipt of sale. Not "Leather Made"The owner of [redacted]'s told me when I called him. The item was, (his words) Leather Made. Part leather part Naugahyde. Again this statement is false. No such words, leather made, were ever used or shown in writing, anywhere. Not on sales receipt,  not on tags on sofa, not sofa, NOT ANY WHERE!This outfit is not being therewith. Ask them to provide documentation of two modes of purchasing this item. e.g. One showing all Leather, and one showing Part leather part Naugahyde.I purchased the Classic Regatta Leather sofa. Have them provide proof that the Classic Regatta Leather is not all leather. And to provide name of supposed alternate sofa that is the All leather sofa. And what this other item is called. They are saying there are TWO versions sofas, from the same manufacturer, both in the same style. 1) One, the Classic Regatta Leather, which I purchased.  So what is the name of this other version of Sofa, from the same manufacturer. I want to see these documents in writing and see how there are worded. Showing one is all leather and the other is Leather Made.

The Table set was available to purchase off the floor when this customer was in the store as it is now. This couple became angry and misunderstood our efforts to assist them with the special order products they spent most of their time discussing. They became angry making it too difficult to communicate with them any further then we did. I reject to the business response for the following reasons. And would like the case reopned for the following reasons.1) I did not go on line to see this item.2) I visited this location because of a mailer I received.3) At no time was I told that there were two options on this item. (sectional sofa )4) I was told the item was an all leather. I specifically asked for an all leather sofa.5) After I found the item was not, as claimed, all leather. I went to the store and spoke directly to the salesman ([redacted]) who sold me the item. He said that specific item was an all-leather sofa. They no longer carried it. 6) Asked to speak to the owner, told unavailable.Left message to call me.7) I called back after three days when no response, and spoke to the owner. He said that the item was "Leather Made" And felt he did not have to make any kind of repairs or adjustment. That they did not lie about the product. It was a " Leather Made"8) At no time was the phrase "Leather made" ever used. No, I was told it was "all leather", period.9) On copy of my invoice the phrase "All Leather Made"is not present. What is are the words "Classic Regatta Leather" 10) I feel this company has deceived and lied to me and probably others.Since the item is no longer available. Would like said dealer to make a refund of $600.00 and/or make repairs to said item. Or any settlement negotiated on my behalf by Revdex.com.

Review: Purchased an all leather component sofa. LHF Angled Love and a RHF Chair. Paid $1627.84.Was told at time of purchase "all leather" Have had product a number of years thinking all this time it was all leather. When my son's cat clawed it recently I noticed white stuffing sticking out. Upon closer examination I discovered the sides and back of sofa are Naugahyde. I went into the store on a Saturday, and spoke to [redacted]. He said that they no longer carried that line of sofa, but yes it was all leather. Left a message for owner to call me as he was not there that day. On following Wednesday after I had not received a call back I called store. Eventually spoke to Owner. He said that the product is "Leather Made" Would not acknowledge my complaint of deceiving practice. No where on my receipt does it say "Leather Made" That term " leather made" was never used in the purchase of the product. I feel I was cheated by this Company. The Owner also refused my request to at least repair the damage. All Leather and " Leather Made" are not the same.Desired Settlement: 1) Would like the Naugahyde areas replaced with real matching leather. 2) Failing that. Want a refund of purchase price of $600.00. 3) The practice of using the term "Leather Made" be stopped.

Review: We were very interested in a 9 piece dining set clearly marked Floor model $6177. When we decided to purchase the set the staff provided a quote of $6498 for a new dining set. When we brought to the attention of the sales staff that we were interested in the floor model at the price on the dining set ($6177) they refused to sell the floor model stating it was their discretion rather to honor that advertised price or not. They then promptly put the floor model price back on the dining set to mislead another customer.Desired Settlement: We feel this was a classic bait and switch and would like to see the consumer protected from this ongoing sales tactic.
