They will call you and try to get personal information from you. You can tell that the call is from a call center because you can hear many voices in the background. The callers all have a foreign accent. When you ask too many questions, they hang up with you. I totally know that they are fake, but I am hopeful that they can be shut down so that other innocent people will not be impacted.

They claim to be associated with the government. They do cold calls to people without any student loans. They call in states where the do not call laws are in place. They clam to have gotten my number from a list of those who have student loans. I do not have one.
