To whom it may concern:   We have reviewed the complaint correspondence in great detailed and have examined all calls, correspondence and actions taken on behalf of [redacted]. We have determined the person is acting fraudulently and misleading with deceitful intentions....

The forthcoming facts shall serve as a basis to never engage in this consumer in any product, service or personally for that matter.   This individual has engage in service for a consolidation for one of the various income based programs available by the federal government. By engaging in this process this client has double verified their under standing via electronic signature on a processing agreement as well as a voice verification. Set forth were the expectation of the client to provide supporting documentation to the information provided during the time of the call. The client blatantly disregarded our many requests for this information. Despite her lack effort, work continued. Being that she was required to make a payment, service continued to be rendered and various forbearance requests were managed for this client.   As time went by the client began to decline on the agree payment agreement. The amount of $39 was declined many times. This client fell into a small percentage of clients who do not have the financial capacity to manage a $39 payment. To this end, we support the destitute. We continued working on this file for free and successfully completed this client’s PSLF form submission.    Moving forward many, many requests were sent to the client for completion of the process. Unfortunately, these requests went unanswered.   The client is now asking for a full refund in which was granted to her. The client then proceeded, after getting services rendered for free for 9 months and getting a complete refund, to proceed to the Revdex.com and make a complaint, as if the matter had not been resolved. This is the greatest showcasing of entitlement we have ever seen. It is not possible to be more un-American than this client. To use and abuse a business for their services and then demand for a handout and complain once granted is unbelievable. Not only has this been the biggest waste of time for our staff, it has wasted the time of the Revdex.com and their staff with a matter as petty as this.   This client is fraudulent. Her basis of doing something herself is not a valid reason to defraud a company for service and assistance.   Sincerely,   Management

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I don't care to continue this process because I was able to get a copy of my contract and cancel it just this week. However, I do feel the need to say something about this ridiculous response from SLG. My issue only got resolved this week, and this came after I submitted this complaint to the Revdex.com, at the end of last week, which I did after one final attempt to resolve the issue with SLG directly ended in what I believed to be a hang-up from (probably the same unprofessional manager who submitted this response). My contract issue was finally resolved, following a call back this week, but it was ultimately resolved by SLAC, not the Student Loan Group. In fact, the person who I spoke to at SLG acknowledged that the employee who had sent me the contract and helped me with things over the phone no longer worked there because of some questionable practices of his. The main thing that I was requesting was a copy of the contract that I signed, which I have a right to have and certainly isn't. Accusing me of fraudulence is just foolish. I only asked for a refund, if possible, because I was so fed up after requests for the contract not being met and being hung up on when I called one more time to ask for the contract. So when it was listed as an option, I selected it, but I specified that my main objective was to get a copy of the contract and the opportunity to cancel it, in case I did agree to something that I shouldn't have.
I only learned of the $39.00 a month charge this week, again, after I had submitted my complaint to the Revdex.com, when the company called me back. This company never billed me for the $39.00 a month, but they claimed in this response that they contacted me multiple times looking for payment. I was not aware of the need to pay $39.00 a month, having not received a bill and not known what I signed, like I admitted in my complaint... Of course, I tried to find out what I had signed, but when I requested a copy of the contract multiple times, it was never sent. I made these requests over the phone and via email. Besides emails looking for specific forms, I never heard from SLG,  not by mail, email, or phone, looking for money or anything else.  And the complaint about me taking a while to turn in paperwork is just foolish- I immediately sent back everything that I could do myself. What took so long was a form that my employer had to fill out. I paid $699 for the processing of that paperwork. I would hardly call that free. Up until two days ago, nobody ever told me that I owed more money. I thought that the $699 covered the service that I was provided, of processing the consolidation paperwork that I submitted.
Closing out this case is okay, because, as I said, SLAC got me a copy of that contract. But I cannot check a box indicating that this response resolved my complaint. The response contained only lies and insults. I was truly fearful that I had signed something that I shouldn't have and have only asked for a copy of the contract any time I have contacted SLG in the past year. They would not provide it, and I didn't know who else to contact since my original contact wasn't an employee there anymore, and the number that I was given for a compliance manager led to what I thought was a hang-up. I turned to the Revdex.com out of desperation.

Your employees stated false information regarding the process as well as the refund process. Due to false pretenses stated by [redacted] SLAC processed only a partial refund. As a direct result of what your employee stated I am at a list of $700. After I attempted to call [redacted] and send multiple emails no one has repsonded until I put the complaint in with Revdex.com. I am asking for $400 due to false pretenses rather it come from Student Loan Group or SLAC. I was originally mislead but student loan group.

Review: during my initial conversation that was over one hour long with [redacted] on 6/3/2015, he ensured me that the $1500.00 fee I paid was a settlement fee with my student loan service, [redacted] explained that by paying the $1500.00 I was saving over $6,000.00 on interest that had accumulated during the life of my student loan. [redacted] also stated that if at any time my loans were unable to be serviced the $1500.00 fee would be fully refunded, during the conversation I also reinforced that the $1500.00 would be refundable if my loans were unable to be fully serviced. The definition of "serviced" for me as [redacted] explained meant my loans would no longer be with [redacted] they would be taken over by FedLoan with a significantly reduced repayment plan and a forgiven amount of over $50,0000.00 [redacted] also encouraged me not to speak to [redacted] at all during the underwriting process to avoid future problems. He advised that I refer all responses from [redacted] to my case manager. In a later email conversation with [redacted], my case manger at that time, I was denied consolidation with FedLoan. At that time I asked about the $1500.00 fee and she responded that what [redacted] said was not true and that the $1500.00 was a processing fee. I trusted all of his instructions because I was very hopeful that there was a chance at reducing my student loan debt, unfortunately, trust has allow me to lose $700 as a total lost with SLAC and additional interest added to my student loans for two forbearance's that were filled while waiting for a new repayment plan. After the email conversation with [redacted] I decided to cancel services with SLAC . I called SLAC on 10/28/15 I was placed on a long hold then told that a manager would be contacting me regarding cancellation and refund request. A manager never contacted me instead I received a call from [redacted] on October 28, 2015 he again ensured me that my loan consolidation was about 80% completed and the last step was to send paycheck stubs as quickly as possible. He also requested that all future emails be CC to him so that he could be sure my process was going well and no new delays occurred. At that time he emailed me all his personal contact information. I immediately scanned my pay check stubs and emailed them to [redacted] on 10/28/15. A few weeks later I was assigned a new case manager [redacted] who was quite rude. She did not give me any new information she only told me what I already knew which was that my loans did not qualify to be taken over my FedLoan for reason being that the hospital I currently work for is a For-Profit organization. I then made a final decision it was time for me to cancel my account with SLAC and request a refund for a total of $1500.00. After multiple attempts to cancel my account and request a refund I endured long wait holds to speak to a manager to discuss the refund. [redacted] finally emailed me on 11/20/2015 stating my account was closed. I immediately responded and asked when would I expect a refund of the $1500.00 processing fee. I never received any feedback from anyone including [redacted]. I sent multiple emails as well as placed multiple calls leaving voice messages requesting a refund of $1500.00. It would be better business if customers were told the truth and given a choice to make such an investment. I was under false pretenses when I allow SLAC to charge my [redacted] credit card $1500.00, had I been told it was a processing fee I would have never became a customer of SLAC.

Delete Reply Reply All Forward Apply Previous Next

ComposeDesired Settlement: I have also been in touch with the President of SLAC [redacted] and been refunded only a $1000.00. I would like for Student Loan Group to be responsible for the amount of $400.00 SLAC was not willing to refund me. A little honesty would have gone a long way and avoided grief and time wasted on both parties. I have continued to contact [redacted] via email and phone leaving voice messages, I have yet to received a response. I have all documentation of all conversations with SLAC and phone records with proof of my attempts for help. I have a toal of $1700.00 invested in this mistake, I am willing to take a lost of $300.00 for SLAC's attempt to service my loans.

Review: The "Student Loan Group" repeatedly calls me throughout the day telling me they can reduce my student loans. I have blocked many of their numbers but the most recent, [redacted], has been harassing me daily; sometimes hourly. Every time I call back to tell them to stop calling they laugh or ask why. Every time they ask for personal information over the phone.Desired Settlement: I want to stop being contacted. They call me at all hours of the day to the point I don't turn the volume on my phone on. On top of that, they call me during work and it disrupts my focus. I know I can't be the only one because I saw there was previous complaints with this fake company and when I Google the numbers they all say scam. Please help.
