Student Reform Associates was very professional and on the ball when handling my process for teacher loan forgiveness. Communication was excellent and all my questions were answered in a timely manner. They are an organization that clearly aims to help others.

Review: DO NOT FALL FOR THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I received an email form this company a little over a year ago stating that they were a company that worked for the government (which was not true) and that they could forgive some of our debt that we owed on student loans. I contacted the company and spoke to [redacted] and he said that we qualified to have our debt consolidated, and that all of our debt would now be owed to them. After filling out the proper paperwork he said that everything was done. He then stated that we no longer owed Fedloan any money and that all of our payments would be done through Student Reform Associates. Our Fedloan account was in deferment for months. Fedloan contacted us once we were out of deferrment and stated that we owed them money and that we were behind. I told Fedloan that all of our loans were bought out by Student Reform and that we shouldn't owe them any money. I contacted [redacted] at Student Reform and he assured me that Student Reform was the only company that we owed money to and that I should ignore Fedloan because they are only trying to get money from me. So I believed him and ignored them now a year later Fedloan has hit my credit and my credit score has been affected. Then, I contacted Fedloan and asked them about the situation, and they basically told me that Student Reform lied to them and that Fedloan is the company I owe money to. Student Reform charged me a total of $1406.47 over a 13 month period at $108.19 per month for 13 months. Student Reform charged me this stating that this would go to my loans that were consolidated when in fact it didn't.Desired Settlement: I would like the total of 1406.47 given back to me. And to have nothing to do with Student Reform Ever again. I would like our credit to be fixed also.

Review: I made 2 payments of $211 toward a student loan program that the company was unable to complete and have not returned my money from September 2014. I have called dozens of times and they promise that my check is in the mail, but have not received anything as of May 27, 2015. I hope no one else will get taken by this so called company in the future. They promise all these savings for student loan debt, but just take more of your money.Desired Settlement: I expect a full refund of $422 due to the promise by Mark at Student Reform Associates.

Review: Came on board because I was promised that I would get at least $4,000.00 taken off of my student loans. [redacted] told me I was approved. Well I paid them $910.00. I was now told I do not qualify for any loan forgiveness by FedLoan. I tried calling and leaving messages on their website. I was not helped as I was told from the beginning. Now that I want my money back no one will contact me. I also left some negative comments on their websites which they removed.Desired Settlement: I just want my $910.00 back. please

Worst place to deal with they said they could help me with my loans and after 6 months they can't do anything after telling them the same thing 9 time then they just completely stop answering the phone and returning my message they took me for over 700 and I have nothing to show for it and now I owe my student loans over 1300

Review: Please do your research before you begin paying them money. What [redacted] claims he can do for you and your student loan debt, you can do for FREE for yourself. This is not a real company and they do nothing more for you than file paperwork for your student loans that you can do for FREE. I paid them $1700.72 for them to resolve my student loan debt because I was told that my husband and I could reduce our debt to a combined $10k but all I had to do was send them 8 on time payments of $242.96. Red flag #1: [redacted] suggested I send them 8 post dated checks (I refused!) Red flag #2: After the initial conversation, I was never able to get anyone on the phone but luckily for me all conversations were through emails (that I printed) Red flag #3: [redacted] sounds like sleazy used car salesman who offers struggling professionals a too good to be true offer to reduce student loan debt. This is not a legitimate company and they run out of "store front" office space with a business address and pay a half-rate web design company to run their website complete with fake pictures and testimonials of clients they never served. Student Reform Associates is fraudulent and stealing money for services that they DO NOT provide! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF...EVER! (SSN, Birthdate, mailing address, employer etc.,)Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of the $1700.72 for the services that were NOT provided per the agreement that I signed. If this refund is not granted then I will be forced to seek legal representation and will have an investigation launched seeking the validity of the so-called business practices of Student Reform Associates.

Review: I reached out to Student Reform Associates to help with a possible reduction in my student loans. I ask the rep how are you paid and he stated by the federal government. I was skeptical right from the start and he encouraged me to ck the Revdex.com website which I did they had no complaints. I had to send 8 checks for 253.00 which I was told went toward the interest of my loans but yet I was in my grace period. I had requested information showing where the money was going that I had sent and never got an explanation. Now today I spoke with my loan carrier Great Lakes and they stated I called today and put my loan in forbearance which I did not do. As of today I set up a password because I believe Student Reform Associates has been acting on my behalf but have not made me aware of it. Also Great Lakes has received no money and what I am trying to do I can do myself per Great Lakes. I have asked for my money back but was always told things were moving along, As of today I had a heated discussion with the rep and after speaking with Great Lakes she recommended I get my money back. I have put a stop payment on the remainder of the checks but they have cashed over 1265.00 as of now and as of today are not returning my callsDesired Settlement: Refund of monies paid

I am so grateful for the dedication and assistance of this program. I really appreciate your service!! You guys are life savers.

Review: I have the same complaint as many of the complaints already provided. I was informed by this company that they would lower my student loan payment to $282.00 after providing them with 8 payments of $138 as we go through the process. It turns out that they essentially placed consecutive forbearances on my student loan while consolidating my student loan (which are all things that I could have done myself). When it was all said and done, I received this messages from Student Loan Associates:

"Thanks for your email.

Your loan holder, is FedLoan, so for now on you have to make payments directly to them.

I went back to the contract and found that the quoted payments were for $282.00 and in fact it would have been lower if the amount of the adjust gross income was of $109,000 as you mentioned in your signed contract, but the adjusted gross income that you presented in your last filed taxes was of $XXX,XXX. Therefore we could not provide the quoted payments, but we gave you a lower of what you are presently paying.

If you change your income as separated with 3 or more family members that depend of your income, even though you do not filed in your taxes, we could lower definitely the amount. Or if your income has change, we need the proper documentation to reapply again and lower the monthly payments.

"Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of monies distributed to Student Reform Associates. It should have been clear from the start if that they would be unable to assist due to my income.

Student Reform Associates is a great business that provides a tremendous service to its clients. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to them by a dear friend and have had the pleasure to do business with them. They have helped alleviate many of the financial distractions that are caused due to the debt climate of today which have allowed me to live a better life. I highly recommend this business to anyone seeking the same relief and I often refer friends and family.
