Beware!
Don’t be fooled by the glamorous showroom at 21 Greene Street in Soho.
Shopping at Studio Anise is anything but quality and customer service!
On Nov18, 2018 we ordered a dining table and chairs and paid the same day.
The timeline for manufacturing in Germany and transport to the US was confirmed to be 13 weeks, Mid Feb’2019.
After a seemingly never-ending ordeal filled with most unpleasant interactions, the actual delivery took place last week on Tuesday, Feb4, 2020.
During the course of one year we went through the worst customer experience imaginable. Contacting the owner and his team on a monthly basis to obtain information about the remains of our merchandize left us with unanswered phone calls and the owner denying himself by his constantly changing and unknowing assistants.
On rare occasions, when we did get to speak to the manager, we were repeatedly told that the respective shipping container is on it’s way, expected to arrive in “two weeks”. In every confrontation with Studio Anise we were lied to and cheated.
By June 2019 we started to fear possible financial issues or even the threat of insolvency. In the attempt to secure our purchase, we contacted the German manufacturer directly. It was confirmed that the items were indeed produced but not paid for by Studio Anise.
Only with the involvement of the German supplier and increased pressure, Studio Anise eventually initiated the payment on Nov 26, 2019, with a delay of more than one year. The shipment was arranged immediately afterwards. We never received an explanation by Studio Anise why our payment was held back or what the money has been used for.

The store is beyond beautiful, I wanted to buy everything. Their products are of the highest quality, Rolf Benz ONDA for one, is a very classy and comfortable couch. I love the Dining room set, they have different styles for different tastes.
This store has all that you need and more. What a marvelous experience, the staff and owner are very helpful and knowledgable on all their products. This is a wonderful place to shop and had fantastic service from the time of arrival, to the time of departure. They keep you informed and up to date from the time you ordered, to the time it was delivered, they really wanted to make sure you are happy. I would highly recommend Studio Anise as a First Class place to shop.

Review: We ordered a custom Italian bath tub from Anise in 2013. We gave them a required 50% deposit $9,055.13 in May 2013 on our [redacted]s card. When we requested the tub to be shipped, we were told they required the balance of $ 9,055.13 to be paid by check. We sent the check in May 2014 but were never able to get any information as to when we would receive the tub. At one point the [redacted], [redacted], said the "tub is on the boat." However, we never received it and the customer selected another fixture.This tub was for a large renovation project, that is why we didn't actually need the tub until almost a year later.We have paid the full amount of $18,110.26 but never received the product.All efforts to get a response from Anise regarding a complete refund has been to no avail.We ask you intercede on our behalf as we are long time good standing members of the Revdex.com in Philadelphia for many years. If you require more documentation please let me know; I will be happy to provide it to you.Desired Settlement: We are seeking a complete refund of $18,110.26.

Review: An order for bathroom fixtures totaling $17,000 was placed on March 2014 at Studio Anise. Despite being paid in full, the fixtures have not been delivered and Studio Anise has provided no information regarding the status of this order. Over the last few months Studio Anise has been contacted dozens of times via email and over the phone. Most of these attempts to obtain information regarding the order have gone unanswered. The few emails that have received a reply have failed to provide any information whatsoever regarding the status of the order. Studio Anise has been made aware that the missing items have halted progress at the construction site where the fixtures are needed for immediate installation. This delay is causing additional construction costs.Desired Settlement: Studion Anise needs to provide immediate, binding information regarding the delivery date of the missing items or issue a full refund for the entire order.

Review: I've bought some furniture pieces and paid for them in May and delivery should be made until September, but nothing was delivered until now. They don't reply any of my calls or my emails.Desired Settlement: Delivery or my money back.

Review: I have paid in full for plumbing and bath fixtures and have received nothing thus far. I have called and emailed multiple times and have not received satisfactory answers to when the goods will be delivered.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the items I delivered in the time frame it was promised. If this is not going to happen then I will need to get a full refund so that I can purchase these items for my client form another vendor in order to complete the project in a timely manner.

Review: We have waited over 20 weeks for a 12-14 week lead time item and the company has no physical evidence that the product was even ordered from the manufacturer in Italy. I have received no type of shipping confirmation and have read several reviews that the company has done this many times before.Desired Settlement: As this order was placed in January and a 50% deposit was paid, we would like the order to be received in hand so that we can pay the remaining 50% owed. We just need the items ordered ASAP.

Review: On Dec **, 2014, I ordered a light fixture from StudioAnise, and made a 50% deposit by check of $279. They refused to accept credit cards, which I now know was a warning sign. I was promised by the sales woman, [redacted], that the light would be delivered in 8-12 weeks. In early April I enquired where it was and was told that it was definitely on a ship from [redacted] and would arrive in [redacted] in two weeks. In early May, I contacted the [redacted], [redacted], through the store number ###-###-#### and his cell phone ###-###-#### and was told the light might be arriving in a week. Since that time, there is no answer on the store's phone number, despite leaving 2 or 3 messages each day, no return phone calls, no response to any emails, and the [redacted]'s cell phone mailbox is always full. They have no intention of delivering the light, I have asked for a refund of the deposit, but no one returns any calls.Desired Settlement: Please refund the deposit of $279. StudioAnise is in default of the contract by refusing to deliver the light.
