I am rejecting this response because: The representative that Study Sparkz sent to my house did NOT make us aware of hours can't be indefiniteInstead he gave the illusion that once you purchase hours they are your until you use them allMy mother tried explaining that their representative wasn't coherent on their the contractThe lady she my mother spoke with didn't accept this as answer and told her that we have a non-refundable clauseThey didn't offer no real solution to our problem, and now have cancel the reminding hours keeping the balance of the $
We recognize that client is upset with expiration of tutoring hoursHowever, every company/ gym/ classes have expiration on paid services. We gave client months to use sessions and we offered to extend the date, if the client shared with us when they wanted to use the hours by. We did not hear back on a potential date till when they want to use the services by. This agreement was signed in December for hours that were to be used by April 7th 2016.Thank you
Study Sparkz has made the difference for our daughter AnnaThey were able to send a tutor to our home in McLean who's helping Anna work on her Math problems and in three months they were already able to help her get a B instead of the D she had before!

Study Sparkz has always been there to help our daughter improve her grades in math after struggling with it for multiple years. Now, not only is she getting better grades in math, her study habits have helped her improve in even more classes.

Included in the email: Copy of the contract, and Client comments/interaction History with officeCustomer filed a complaint that we made them lose their hours and money. Customer purchased a block of 10 hours ( minimum block we sell) for $955, 4 of those hours were use in Dec 2015. Customer on...
12/28 said that they will use hours for Spring and these were set aside for that, In January I reached out to customer to see what can be set up for Spring, they did not reply. Per contract all packages expire in 90 days. Therefore, on 2/10/2016 I sent an email that their hours will expire on 3/7/2016 and after that they will have 30 days to make up the hours, which means 4/7/2016Customer called upset on the email. I explained that we need to have end date of hours, these hours cannot remain for an indefinite period of time. She did not like that answer and said that she would call with her son to see what he needs help with. I called her back on 2/10 and I have not since spoken to Cecilia and Andre.Again Study Sparkz wanted to render services as we do for all the clients. Package or hours purchased are not refundable. If customer only wanted to use 4 hours, we would not enroll them in our program as we have a minimum of 10 hour block that we sell.If you have additional questions, please let us know.Thank youHadia[redacted]
Great service! I got myself a tutor for SAT prep two months before I took the test and got the scores I wanted. Awesome tutors with handy SAT tricks. Highly recommended!
Study Sparkz helped our daughter Marie get a great tutor! She was struggling with reading and writing and they matched her with Karen, who has been helping our daughter to love learning. They worked around our schedule and they even met with Marie's teacher, who was happy to advise on how Marie is doing in school. We really love working with them and we are considering getting another tutor for our son Jason.
Study Sparkz has helped improve reading level of my child and he has gone from level 1 to 3. I am very pleased with the progress.
This company overcharges and is dishonest in its representation of its services and its profile.
Review: I enlisted study sparkz tutoring to help me study for the GED test in january 2013 gave them my check card information the very next day after signing up I decided to cancel becouse I could get tutoring for free in my state I then called study sparkz an informed them that I did need their services six months later in july 2013 study sparkz electronically debited 240.00$ from my account I never received any services from study sparkz I call them the secretary informed me that their policy is you must pay regardless of receiving services from them or notDesired Settlement: pay me back my money
Review: I signed my daughter up for tutoring services with Study Sparkz. They sent someone to my home to discuss her tutoring needs which I was very impressed by. I signed her up for the 2 hr a week study session and spoke with the "Chief Happiness Coordinator" [redacted] as she calls herself. I was very happy with the tutor, however once the school year ended in June the tutor that my daughter had accepted another position in California. Upon her leaving I advised **. [redacted] that we would not continue tutoring services through the summer but resume in the Fall when school opened. **. [redacted] agreed that was fine and the account would be suspended until that time. However, Study Sparkz billed our card twice in July when my daughter had not received services. When I called I had to leave several messages (as **. [redacted] does not answer the phone in a timely manner or respond to concerns promptly). Additionally, I sent several emails. When **. [redacted] finally got back to me she said the account was in review with the accounting department and she would get back to me by close of business. Needless to say, I did not hear back from **. [redacted] that day. As I waited to hear from her my account was then charged again. At his point I was being charged for 20 hours of tutoring services ($520) that my daughter did not receive. Again, I repeatedly called Study Sparkz, left messages and emails without receiving a prompt answer. After a day or two, **. [redacted] contacted me again stating the account was in review with the accounting department, but my card was suspended so no further charges would be made. Via email I asked to speak to some one in the "accounting department" and did not receive a response. At this point I was done with Study Sparkz and wanted my card removed from their system and services cancelled. When **. [redacted] finally contacted me, she apologized and acknowledged the over charges and stated I had two options. They could credit my account the 20 hours they over billed and not bill me again until those hours were used OR the could cancel the services and deduct the cancellation fees (you must give them 4 weeks notice of cancellation) from the amount they now owe me...SERIOUSLY. After you over billed me several times this is what the Chief Happiness Coordinator offers as resolution. Again, being totally disappointed, annoyed and upset with Study Sparkz I send an email at 10am letting them know that we have decided to cancel our services. Not only did I not receive a response from **. [redacted] the card that they have on file that she told me was suspended and would not be charged was charged that afternoon at 3pm another $260. You could imagine my disgust and confusion with the bad business practices of this company. I again call Study Sparkz (**. [redacted]) to yet again voice my concerns and request an immediate refund...at this point of $780, I also sent an email at 4pm. It has been almost 24 hours and I have not heard from **. [redacted], Chief Happiness Coordinator, Study Sparkz Senior Management (if such exist) or the accounting department. At this point I think this is a fraudulent company, that over bills for their services or lack of services. I would not use or recommend this company to any parent.Desired Settlement: I would like Study sparkz to refund our account the full $780 immediately and confirm that it has been refunded in a timely manner.

Study Sparkz received a letter from Revdex.com about complaint number [redacted]. This complaint was submitted from our past client about our "terms of agreement" that client signed on February 7, 2013.
Study Sparkz’s "terms of agreement” allows clients to Suspend their account for summer break with an advance notice. These terms were provided to the client in writing on February 7, 2013.
Study Sprakz have processed a refund of $770.00 for this client on September 19, 2013 through cashier's check. A copy of the check receipt will be mailed with this letter.
Please kindly remove or prevent this complaint from being posted online. As Study Sparkz was following the contract that was signed by the client. Lastly, refunded the client in good faith as well.
