Online description is deceptive, says $0.50 per day, but really it locks you in for a for a term of 6 months at a cost of $90. When I reviewed a report it was poorly written and I wanted to cancel. I contacted StudyMode, and no refunds allowed. This business does not take care of its customers.
The papers on Study Mode helped me write my final papers. I would definitely use this site again if I decide to go back to school for my Master's Degree.
You advertise $1 a day and that we can cancel at anytime, which one would assume mean we can get our money back or at least get whatever is left in that month back. However when I paid, it was actually for the whole month, and I can't get any of it refunded. My account name is "[redacted]"
I chose to use the site for a project which only took two months from June 2014 to July 2014. Then I never even accessed to their site and called them to cancel my account. After the call, I thought it was cancelled. Unfortunately, I just check my account this month, yes, Oct 2016, realizing that I have been charged $29.95 monthly from June 2014. This is 29 months and $868.55 for no even accessing their site. I agreed to pay two months for their service and asked for a refund of the rest and this is what I got form them:

I am sorry; all the subscription plans, we offer on our site are recurring which means you will be billed until you cancel your subscription. Please note you had agreed upon to the terms and conditions when you signed up. That being said, per our Terms of Service, we do not offer any refund. Members who cancel their account after the charge will still be responsible for the charge to their account. We will not charge you again as your account is canceled. Thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter.

I saw a link to study modes site on a specific case analysis study I needed help understanding. I also saw the $1 /day and chose to pay and was charged 30$ for a month. I logged out 5 minutes later and immediately contacted the email provided and I got back a message saying they offer no refunds. And why wouldn't you? It's not like I used your site so you obviously are trying to take money from innocent people. I should not be charged for a service I didn't use. Word of mouth will keep people from joining your site; this seems to be a trend and a scam that your company is actively engaging in against so many people.
I signed up for this site because it looked like a site that could help me. I only subscribed to their premium because it said $0.50 a day. This was not that case the actually charged $ 90 towards my account. Please beware. I never wanted the site for 6 months only for a day. I canceled my subscription and I read their policy on refunds and they do not offer refunds. I am extremely upset.
This site is a scam! Do yourself a favor and stay away from it! I signed up for the monthly subscription with the understanding that if I canceled within their 7 day free trial I wouldn't be charged. I cancelled my account the very next day, but now 7 days later I have a charge on my card. I know I cancelled my subscription because they tried to offer me a deal of $9.95/month to keep my subscription. It's no surprise that they would have a "no refunds on first monthly charges" since apparently they can just ignore your cancellation requests and keep your money!! I will NEVER recommend this website to anyone.
This just happened literally a couple minutes ago. I had paid for this service because I saw a $0.50/perday subscription boldly written for the plan I had wanted and taught they will take it daily and it could be canceled at anytime. I had no idea that they would take $90 from my account just like that. Like what student willingly just gives $90 like that for a service unless they were writing a PhD paper or something. This was an absolute terrible experience for me as a customer and above all that they have no customer service number you can contact on their website only by email which they take days just to reply to a simple question which makes it harder to garner enough information to just give $90 like that. Therefore you would be forced to perform actions you do not have a clear understanding of. Also even when you do reach them and tell them your subscription a couple minutes ago was a mistake, they completely shut you out and say all they can do is downgrade to the $30 plan?!! sigh.

Website didn't have an article I needed, it gave three lines and I got charged $29.95 mind you I never ask to upgrade me account, computer generater lead me to the screen. Cancelled 2mins later and charged $29.95. Not a one time use fee but a monthly fee. This is a sad, most of there customer are students trying to make a life for them self and to steal 30.00 is a same oh Memorial Day weekend. Thanks for my service right!
