Stumpman is "THE BEST" The crew arrived on time, worked really hard, quickly and professionally to cut down and haul away about feet of foot high mature hedges along my property line They also ground the stumps Everyone on the crew was pleasant to work with I really appreciated how upfront and honest Jose was with me during the estimate process concerning possible damage to my sprinkler system I will be using them again in the future for other projects I have recently done quite a few remodeling projects I wish that more contractors were as professional as these guys I highly recommend them

I am rejecting this response because: The agreement states that,"the balance of $under the contract shall automatically be deemed waived in full as of the release date." Their note to the Revdex.com staes that, "$675is due"under the contract Please clarify this issue

Review: By referral I contacted, "Stumpman", for an opinion/estimate of work on my 25 year old trees. On Friday October 3rd., [redacted] came to my house, looked at each tree, and told me what he thought should be done to the trees. He recommended removing the pear tree,(which was in the front yard), and grinding the stump, because the tree was, "basically dead and the roots were destroying the yard". He also said the two palm trees needed trimming. On the side yard, he said the tree was a "Camphor", and needed to be side trimmed, because the branches were over the house and dropping leaves into the gutters. He proceeded to look at the Maple and Japanese Lantern trees, and said they needed to be thinned and trimmed. He gave me an estimate of $1,000 for the work and said he'd do the work on Monday, Oct. 6th.On Monday at about 8:30am I received a call from a person, (whom I thought was Mr. [redacted]), saying, they would be late. When they arrived, Mr. [redacted] was not with them. I do not remember the foreman's name, but he was limping badly and said he had a hip problem. At any rate, the workers removed the pear tree and ground the stump. They left sawdust all over the front yard and damaged several rose bushes. The Camphor was pruned back to the property line and destroyed because it was cut too far back. The maples and lantern trees were not completely trimmed. They left dead branches throughout the trees and basically butchered them. While the men were working the foreman left to make a bid for work on my neighbors yard. He came back about 30 minutes later, asked me to pay him. I told him I would pay [redacted] after I talked to him. He then asked me to sign a form which I did and they left.That afternoon my friend called [redacted] and told him that he did a horrible job. At that point, [redacted] claimed I was happy with the work. She then handed me the phone whereupon [redacted] began yelling at me, called me a liar, and claimed I told him I was happy with the work. He said he was going to sue me. I should sue him.Desired Settlement: I will only pay $300 for the removal of the pear tree and trimming the palms. I have estimates to remove the Maple and Camphor trees. They need to be removed not trimmed/thinned. Stumpman was wrong about what needed to be done to those trees and had non professional laborers do the work. They were unsupervised for some time and basically butchered my trees. I have pictures to prove what I am saying is true. I took them with the newspaper in the foreground to prove the date of the pictures.
