[redacted] is a customer of ours and we will certainly honor our warranty as we already have ***'s account is not true We painted part of the interior house and were paid in full During the process there were certain parts on the walls where the paint would bubble and run not adhering to the walls We instructed [redacted] to watch it and if nothing changed to contact us and we would come back to fix [redacted] called us and we returned repainting certain sections of the walls During this time, [redacted] decided she did not like the colors and wanted a color change We gave her the product and labor for the color change for free while expanding the scope of one of the orginal colors as well That covers any and all reimbursement That means there are now coats of paint on the basement, loft, entrance and stairs coats on part of the basement walls from repairing the sections that would not adhere. After the color change was completed it was obvious there was paint on the baseboards and trim that needed to be cleaned from the original paint colors, dots of blue on the basement carpet which I personally cleaned and would not come out One dot of orange which I cleaned and came out No dispute, I told [redacted] we would have the dots shampooed out and the baseboard and trim cleaned The problem is [redacted] continues to expand the list of items that need to be done Where did they come from? [redacted] has done work herself I spoke to [redacted] before the Holidays and told her we would do what we agreed to take care of not all these additional items In the mean time, I went to our Sherwin Williams and had informed them of the problem we were having on some of the walls w the blotching Sherwin has a number of solutions ready to go up to and including coming to the home to view the problem areas on the walls We just need to agree on what is going to be completed There is nothing here we cant resolve

I am rejecting this response because:
This is all lies and is ridiculousI have photos to prove everything but unfortunately can only upload a coupleI will be going to small claims court

I am rejecting this response because: Here’s the bottom line: The work is not doneWhen you look at the attached original estimate (which John calls the "agreement") and you look at my photos, it’s easy to tell that he didn’t finish the jobJohn wanted me to pay in full by some arbitrary deadline before the job was doneWho knows if he ever would have come back to finish the work if I paid him in full beforehandInstead, he’s trying to bully me into paying him by calling me a liar, threatening liens, legal fees and criminal charges.John said in his previous message: “Warranty work was scheduled for Tuesday by ***She changed the date to Friday…” I don’t understand why that’s an issueI’ve been more than flexible with John as far as getting the work done when he was availableHe also didn’t finish the work on time (the job was supposed to be complete before carpet installation per the agreement, which did not happen)The least he could do is work with me to make sure the work is done right. In order for the job to be complete PER THE AGREEMENT, the following would need to happen: Finish painting the walls in the lower level living room, finish painting the kitchen walls that surround the refrigerator(We’re more than happy to move the refrigerator out of the way.), touchup paint near trim throughout the house, remove splattered paint from woodwork, vanities, floors and ceiling, putty remaining holes, sand and paint over them. All of these items were included in the original agreement and included as part of 2-year warranty, and are still not completeI have several photosI’ve explained this to John and it escalated after I wouldn’t pay him in full before this work was doneI’m happy to pay him once we can coordinate a time to get the work done. On a final note, I spoke with another customer of John’s named *** ***She’s experiencing a very similar situation except she paid John in full and he never returned to finish the work

We have not received any messages this week other than the complaint which we responded toReimbursement is complete as the color chage, customers responsibility, was completed for freeSome warranty items are left and fix the areas of the walls where grime has caused paint to not adhereThe problem is exactly as discussed, the list continues to growIts not what we were shown and not what we discussedWe are only shampooing the dots in the basement, cleaning the trim of old colors, and fixing the problem areas on the walls w a chemical treatmentThat's it or select another contractor
