Review: Received hair braiding service on 10/4/13. Hair was not braided in the style I requested and was braided too tight. Improper braiding service cause my scalp to become irritated and inflamed within less than 24hrs of service. I contacted the owner the same night of service to make her aware of dissatisfaction with style. On 10/07/13 I text photos of red inflamed scalp to the owner. She apologized and offered to redo hair. I explained to her my scalp was too irritated and inflamed to put braids back into my hair. She stated I would have to have hair redone within a week. I again explained this was impossible as my scalp was inflamed. I asked to use credit $[redacted] to have my daughter hair braided instead and would pay difference between the two hair styles. On 10/13/13 she agreed to allow my daughter to use credit. Then on 10/14/13S, she refused and stated she doesn't do refunds. There is no posted policy stating no refunds or redo of service. She now refuses to respond to my text messages, which has been our preferred method of communication. Previously, she braided my hair and daughter's hair on several occasions with no problems. At this point I am out of $[redacted] plus $** tip, no hair do which should have lasted two months or more, and damaged scalp (red, hot, inflamed scalp) .Desired Settlement: Either refund $[redacted] or give me credit to use towards daughter hair. The scalp damage prevents me from getting my hair braided again.

After speaking with [redacted] from the company she states that the hair stylist was asking the consumer if her hair was to tight and the consumer said no she wanted it tight. She also states that the consumer went home and then informed the company that she did not like her hairstyle and she was taking it out. [redacted] told the consumer that she could come back in and she would take it out and redo her hair but the consumer did not show. [redacted] is declining the refund or credit for the consumers daughter hair but she did say that the consumer could come back and they will do the same hairstyle for her again.
