can properly inspect the vehicle when a problem arisesInthis particular case the customer came in for an oil change, headlight replacement and drive beltschanged on December 23rdWhen she picked up the car she noticed a burning smell coming from hercar and she assumed there was oil spilled onto the engine, later on she noticed the vehicle not shiftingcorrectlyShe pursued help from her brother, an online help site that told her that the clutch is goingoutHer conclusion was our tech did not know how to drive a clutch; however the tech that did thework drives a clutch daily to and from workAgain, it is our policy to ask the customer to return thevehicle to us when a problem arises, however in this case we never got the opportunityWe neverreceived a phone call and never given the opportunity to assist her.With the vehicle being years of age and 70,miles it is not uncommon for a dutch to go out, butinsinuating that we burned out her clutch on purpose is an unfair and untrue accusationIf it was ourmistake we would have taken care of it completely, but was not given a chance to do so.The car was only driven under a mile, it was driven from our service drive into the shop and whenfinished to our service parking lotIt was driven only within feet or so

I spoke with two Service reps, both told me their techs can drive a manual transmissions.
One rep indicated that it was just a fluke that my clutch went out right after I brought it in.
They did not tell me to bring in my vehicle for inspection. But wanted to schedule me for the
$1770.00 ($1600.00 with 10% discount) replacement.
