Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meWe have not heard from them, however, at this time We Hope the offer is at least 50% of the cost as we paid high value of the car for the year and mileage.Regards, [redacted] & [redacted] ***

Revdex.com,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and will wait for further review.

Yes, I would entertain looking at the issues the ***'s have described and helping with the expenses at some levelWould like to see what is needed before committing to exactly what that amount would be
I will reach out to the *** in the next day or so to schedule a time for them to bring their car in for us to have a look at
John

There must be a misunderstanding as we do not remember Dave S*** offering to help fix or even to look at what was wrong with the Subaru Impreza that we purchased. All we remember is he said that we could trade it back in for a different car and we would get what it was worth. We have not had any repairs done as of yet. We have talked to a Subaru mechanic and he said it was most likely the head gasket for the oil leakage. If Spokane Subaru is interested in sharing in the cost of the repairs, we would like to discuss it with MrL***
Thank-you
*** ***

I am in touch with customer to see if we can come to resolution - will let you know where we end up**

I will send the *** a check for $This is purely out of good will, we did NOTHING wrong or dishonest in our dealing on this matterPossible too many people involved and our service Manager who originally dealt with the *** leaving during this timeFor communication that may have been lost after his departure I will make this concessionAs for the tires, *** *** absolutely would not take the brand of tire Subaru was willing to put on their car - the fact that I had agreed to pay for the other two unacceptable tires (that were already installed on their car and had to be removed and the originals put back on at our expense) that was communicated by Mark K*** our Service Mgrto cell number *** (I believe *** phone) On another note, they did initially accept the two new tires from Subaru and agreed to pay for the other two, that is why they were on the car when Mr*** arrivedApparently when he found that they were the same tire as he had previously is when he made us remove all four and reinstall the old tiresWe at the dealership level do not decide what tire the manufacturer approves be put on their vehicles. As for Mrs*** not being referenced in this issue I apologizeMr*** name is first in the computer, on all the paperwork which would make it referenced firstIf they would like that changed we can do that for them
Sorry for what may have been our part in this messAll I believe we did was try and help the *** out with the tire issueObviously this did not happen
If acceptable I will send the check directly to Mrs*** for $

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Subaru is misleading anyone who reads this response. First, it is true that only one tire is completely bald, but none  of the four tires was road legal.  We verified that independently.  Subaru states that they offered to replace all four tires.  What they fail to mention is that they were charging us $452.98 plus tax to do so.  (These were the same tires that they gave us 5 different mileage estimates for.)  Finally they did not address the right front caster.  The car is one and a half years old.

Review: I had scheduled a 2007 Subaru Spec "B" for service on the 27th of April. While the car was in route to the dealer the check engine light came on. I dropped the car off for servicing. A little later I was called and informed that the check engine light was due in fact to a failed Air pump and two associated valves. I was informed the air pump was $600 and the two valves were $225 each. A little later I was called and informed the bearings seamed to be wearing on the turbo charger. The price was $1700 for the turbo. I authorized them to repair the air pump, valves and the servicing but to not to work on the turbo charger at this time. I came and picked the car up and found the bill to be $2625.99 considerable more then expected and quoted. I was charged $672.14 instead of $600 as quoted for the air pump and $355.69 for each valve instead of the $225 as I was quoted. When I talked to the service manager about the difference and told him about competitors prices. in which I researched, I was told they had to make a profit some how. When leaving the service bay a burning smell filled the car and within a few miles the check in light came on. I returned the car to Subaru of Spokane Service center to be informed that the turbo charger had failed.. It was now stated that it would cost $2500 to $2800 to replace the turbo . The service paperwork states that the price quoted is the price you will pay...period. We have found this to not be true and question their integrity in pricing of work done and workmanship in regards to the the turbo charger. For something to be stated as "wearing" to complete failure when leaving their shop makes us question what was done or improperly done when checking the turbo charger.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of what was quoted and what was charged on services.

Review: We brought our car in three times to be worked on and each time they work on it, it runs worse and there is more wrong with it and they keep telling us something else is wrong with it and charging us more money. It wasn't running bad to start with but now it barely will stay running.Desired Settlement: refund all money given or repair car correctly or Let them pay to have it diagnosed by an outside mecanic.

[redacted], please find the following information regarding the [redacted]’s complaint regarding services performed at Subaru of Spokane.

· First visit April 29, 2014 – replace left head gasket and timing belt – normal maintenance for a 11 model year old Outback with 111k miles on it… most all older Subaru’s will need at least one head gasket replaced if not both by this time in its life. $1099.99 + sales tax = $1195.69

· 2nd visit August 28, 2014 – Air Conditioner belt snapped. When customer was replacing belt found crank sprocket had eaten into the timing cover. When brought in for repair found crank pulley was coming apart at rubber insulator. Replaced crank pulley, t-cover and belt. $230.47 + sales tax = $249.61. This repair was NOT related to previous repair…

· 3rd visit Sept 4, 2014 – customer stated engine running rough – replaced #3 plug wire. Test drove, OK per tech. this repair NOT related to any of the previous repairs.

All of the above we would consider to be normal maintenance for a 2004 Subaru with 113k miles on it. We believe none of the repairs from their three visits are related in any way or the cause of any faulty workmanship on our part or we would take care of them.

We have tried to contact the [redacted]’s to have them come in so we can see if there was an issue with our repair dated 4/4/14. They have not responded to multiple calls.

Please call/respond with questions,

Review: The car we purchased we were told was mechanically sound. There were 5 of us sitting at the desk of the sales mgr. when he said that. They said as long as we changed the oil and kept up on maintenance is would easily go another 100,000. We paid the max. value a car of that year and mileage would be worth. It had other cosmetic issues but we were fine with that as long as it ran good. we took it for a test drive but the issues we are dealing with would not be known unless you had it to drive for a couple days. When we got home, we were checking under the hood, and the hood prop was broken. After driving it for a week, it was using oil every tank of gas, it is also blowing antifreeze out of the radiator. We contacted them twice. Once in person, then with a phone call. They told us the only thing we could do was trade it in and they would only give us the actual value of the car. We talked to the mgr of the customer care dept.and he said since it isn't a safety issue, they aren't responsible. I used some of my daughters college money to get her a car that she could drive her senior year in high school and part of college. Now I am out the money and don't have a reliable car for her to drive.Desired Settlement: We would like to give them the car back and get our money back. If not, we would like a refund of the actual cost to fix the radiator and the oil leak problem. It also has a short in the headlight.

I am in touch with customer to see if we can come to resolution - will let you know where we end up... **

We bought $36,000 Subaru outback. My wife was excited about the car and was anxious about paying it off ASAP. We financed the car through CHASE. Unfortunately because of confusion she made the first payment directly to Subaru of Spokane instead of CHASE. We started to get nasty letters from Chase telling us we were delinquent! When we realized our mistake, we assume it was a simple matter of Subaru of Spokane forwarding the payment that DID NOT belong to them to Chase or refunding erroneous payment back to us so we can send it back to Chase. Instead, Subaru of Spokane acted nothing short of being THEIFS!! They refused to forward the payment to Chase or refund it to us so we can make a payment to Chase!!
It took months of calling, emailing and finally threat of lawsuit and public exposure till they finally refunded the money that DID NOT belong to them! I feel that they tried and almost succeed in stealing our first payment!! It cost us a lot of time and money because our credit score was in the 800's before this incident and now we have to rebuild our credit score. I am sure it costs us $1000's of dollars in increased borrowing costs and increased insurance costs because Subaru of Spokane screwed our credit by trying to steal our money that did not belong to them!!

Review: I bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership in January/February of 2013. It only had roughly 32,000 miles on it at the time. The Jeep's transmission blew up at 37,000 miles while I was driving down the freeway in August of 2013. I had it towed to the nearest Jeep dealer and after them looking at it they had said that the transmission completely failed from the inside out. They said that this had to have been going on before we bought the vehicle and the dealership would have caught it if they went through the car like they are suppose to before selling it. The salesman that sold us the jeep did admit that the jeep had not been cleaned out but when asked if they checked it all through as far as the mechanics he said "oh yea they have to with all vehicles" but had no record of this ever being done. I brought it back in to the shop 3 weeks after buying it because of the oil light coming on and they said they had just changed it before I bought it and that turned out to not be true either. I called the service department about the transmission going out and no offer to help in the slightest was made. I will see to it that the dealership's reputation is thrown through the mud if they dont own up to thier neglegence in thier products.Desired Settlement: I would like some sort of reimbursment for having to spend thousands of dollars on a tansmission that was going out before they sold me this car. I dont even know if I would trust these guys to do oil changes on it but I think they need to be help accountable for selling products that are faulty and not taking the time to go through them like they are suppose to. I have never dealt with this on such a low milage car and I have owened Jeeps before and this is not a common issue at 37000 miles.

Response:

per our conversation the following is in response to your letter dated August 21 regarding the 2008 Jeep purchased by [redacted]. The Jeep [redacted] purchased was a 2008 with 30210 miles. It came with a 3000 mile/60 day limited warranty under our Assured Used Vehicle program. It qualified for this warranty due to its age, low miles and inspection performed at our service department prior to sale. Mrs. [redacted] had the opportunity to purchase additional warranty which they chose not to do. Nothing in our inspection would indicate that anything was wrong with the transmission. The Jeep operated normally during inspection and at time of delivery. It has been almost 8 months and 7000 miles since purchase – we have no way of knowing how the Jeep was operated during that time. I am sorry for the transmission problem Mrs. [redacted] had with the Jeep – we would certainly be interested in helping her trade into another vehicle.

Please feel free to contact me directly at the address/numbers below.
