Review: Bought a Subaru here in August. I made the purchase because [redacted] hyped it up as he was doing a lot of work on this car. It was going to be a solid running car. I wasn't looking for something fancy. I wanted a solid running car more than anything else. After talking to [redacted] and him showing me the parts and discussing the work he was going to do, I felt I was going to have a solid running car.

[redacted] said he wanted to change the oil when I bought it at 500 miles to make sure everything looked good. He seemed to never be able to give me a time to come in. He always has "too many cars at the shop right now." Let's figure this out later. Went by on a day off at random just to see what was up. There was this younger guy there who said [redacted] was out, but would pass on a message. Nothing. Called a few more times never got an answer or if I did no time he could do it. Went by again about 2 weeks later, same thing. Went by again, all locked up like they left early??? Went by and saw the younger guy (RJ) one last time. Seeing how it was about a 40 round trip, I got tired of trying, so I went ahead and just had the oil changed out on my own. I was tired of the excuses.

Here we are now, my car is dead. It lost compression. Looks like something let go - maybe a valve. It needs a new engine now. That's $2700 ffor an engine on a $3500 car I bought in August. To top it off I found [redacted] has been fined by BAR for unlicensed repairs. Oh and while the new shop is installing the engine, they're showing me [redacted] didn't do work he told me he did based off the condition of the parts they're seeing.Desired Settlement: I'd love to get some money back from this purchase, but I know it's unlikely. Very frustrated to learn this man has done this type of thing to others. Not only that BAR is aware of him breaking the law but he's still just operating like no big deal.
