ATTENTION ATTENTION PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE POST
THESE ARE THE REAL FACTS REGARDING OUR EXPERIENCE THROUGH Sublime Canine
Through recommendations, we decided to send my year Boxer to Sublime Canine, for basic training and behavior modificationsWe went with *** Morgan, a Sublime staff member, and her mission statement said the estimated time would be four-six weeks, and we would receive updates and if we wanted pictures to ask because she may forgetEverything seemed well and *** was admitted to the facility on August 10th at PMThe day of admittance, we took *** to our vet to receive a flee treatment, and the vet verified that *** was healthy and ready for camp
From the beginning, *** personally had no accountability for sending updates and every single time we received an updated was initiated by myself or motherThrough email and phone calls, initiated by us, the only real response was that there was nothing new to report and ***'s progress in training was slowEvery single time the exact response was given
Around week my mother called ***, within this phone call, my mother asked a question regarding any weight loss due to her change in environment*** stated that *** had lost a little weight but they had plans to increase her dog food intakeOriginally, when *** entered the camp she was eating around cups of dog food a dayAnd exiting the camp, *** claimed she was feeding her cups a day, because the weight was not being kept onSo since the company had a good reputation, we put our full trust in the fact that they were monitoring her behavior and health and if there were any immediate changes we would be notified
Even though we asked for updates, we also asked for at least one weeks' notice of when she would be leaving the camp, due to prior engagements
Clearly our expectations of updates, a four to six-week timeline, and the simple task of a weeks' notice, were not met, and *** called my mother on October 22nd asking if we could pick up *** within the next two daysMy mother and I were both out of town, and the trainers frequently go out of town, so the date they gave us to receive *** would be November 5th
Now, on October 28th around AM my mother receives a phone call, our first incoming contact from *** Morgan ever, and informs her that *** has been throwing up and had diarrhea for two days straight and she was "lethargic" and being taken to the vet hospital*** is seen laying on the floor with EVERY SINGLE bone in her body visible, her collar bone, spine, ribs, and tailboneShe seemed malnourished and dehydration, and it is impossible for *** to lose that much weight in only two days
After tests, biopsy, ultrasounds, and $later, the diagnosis and severity is still underdetermined
The *** family is not blaming Sublime for the possible acute or chronic condition that *** is currently experiencingOur issue with Sublime is the negligence of informing us in the last six weeks of ***'s weight issueClearly from the pictures shown, it is greatly apparent that there was something very wrong and she should have been taken to the vet sooner or we should have at least been informed
I will never recommend this company to anyone who cares about their animal, because they are irresponsible, negligent, and lack respect for animals and their owners
*** could have DIED in their care and only then would we have been notified of any issues
With all the trainers, they have, someone should have noticed that there was something severely wrong with my dog
