and all of her inconvenience She dropped off a jacket at our dry cleaners for regular cleaning Two of our employees handled the situation When *** *** came back to pick up her jacket, I was helping her at the register When I returned the jacket to her for pick-up, she accused us of attaching zippers onto her front pockets After that went on for a short period of time, she began to tell me it wasn't her jacket The employees who helped her when she dropped off were not present at the time, so I asked her for some time to resolve the matter When I asked my two employees, they insistently told me that the jacket was definitely hers because as soon as she dropped it off, they were debating whether or not to cover up the zippers for protective purposes The next time I was in touch with *** ***, I shared with her what our employees informed me *** *** strongly insisted that it wasn't her jacket I immediately apologized and asked her to come in so we can resolve the situation I told her that from one stand point, I take her word, and another jacket will not appear and we'll have to discuss either credit or reimbursement, and that from another standpoint I also trust my employees, and the jacket is indeed hers There was no ultimatum issued as she wrongfully stated, since I mentioned that reimbursement was a possibility Again would be to both of our advantages to have her come in to discuss the issue, as the employees had a few things to physically point out on the jacket, such as the zippers and size *** *** became infuriated, established a take or leave it situation, and threatened to take matters to small claims court, and before any further discussion continued, she hung up the phone on me On another note, I am not the owner, she did not ever speak with the owner, and I am the only form of management that she spoke with I clearly stated to her that the owner was not available to handle this issue, and that I am the manager that handles this type of matter One way or another, I'd like to resolve this issue, but from the assessing the previous reaction and attitude of *** ***, perhaps it's best to involve a third party.
