Worst car shopping experience of my 40 years of buying cars. Inexperienced staff. From start to finish I shook my head in disbelief.
1. Salesman asked for my personal pin # for deposit to hold car. When I declined he looked at me like I had 3 heads. Then watched me put my pin # in. Went home and changed my pin #. I should have known at that point.
2. Salesman asked me to put insurance on the vehicle before I was approved. Therefore, my trade in I should drive to facility uninsured. He said he didn't think about that.
3. Once approved he said it was privileged information the details of contract. After 2 days I asked to have finance department call me.
4. Prior to transferring plate to new/used vehicle he stated that he made a mistake on weight of vehicle and that I owe another $30. No, I'm not paying it. Contract has been signed. He offers to give me $30 cash if I go in and pay. A minute ago he said he would pay it, but he didn't have the cash. No, I'm not paying. Takes me to cashier and repeats. Again, I'm not paying for your mistake. Get the manager. Explains. Manager says to go ahead and pay. NO, I'm not paying. Manager has employee get his debit card to pay. (Maybe just for how)
5. Next day less than 24 hours of purchase the check engine light came on. Took it to service for diagnostic check. Had to take it to the back as I stand waiting almost an hour to be told they need to keep it. No rental you can't keep it. Bring it back monday. 18 days later and in the interim messages state we have no update.
6. Finally, it is ready per 2 v/m. 3rd message. We made a mistake and forgot to order a part to fix air. The vehicle is not ready. Another week goes by. I had already for weeks been in contact with corporate.
7. The vehicle is ready. Pick it up and less than 4 hours the check engine light came on.
8. Forget it! You can keep the vehicle and return my money. That's not our policy ma'am. Your policy doesn't apply to this situation and no I don't want another vehicle from your facility.
9. Appointment at 5 to return the vehicle. Sign 2 papers, took off plate and gave to me. Then was told they don't have my check. Really? No courtesy call. Now, I have to come back again. Put the plate back on the Ecosport. Next day he says we were going to cover your first month. You say that now! We are just going to put the money back on your card. You couldn't do that in the first place? Wow! Then, the cashier returns a fraction if my down payment. She called the manager to verify the amount to return. I can't even at this point believe all I've been through.
10. They've done nothing for me thus far that they shouldn't have . Nothing for my troubles, anxiety, frustration, time, back and forth, depression over it all. Nothing above and beyond what they should do. I'm still shaking my head in disbelief!
Never, ever will I or anyone I know go to Suburban Ford Sterling Heights or any other Ford dealership! I know many financially upstanding people.
Sad and shameful!

On Feb 19 2019 purchased a 2019 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 which I payed cash for. about a month later I was informed that if I had not already had installed a bed liner I could take the ranger back in and have one installed as they put them in all the rangers and forgot to install one in my truck. I had by then had a spray on rhino liner installed when asked if the drop-in liner they did not install could be put in over the rhino liner was told no and when asked how they manager to forget to install the item received no response. If I would have been informed that one was to be installed at time of purchase I would not have purchased the rhino liner.

I purchased a car from Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights. Multiple calls were made informing me that the car was ready and I had to pick it up. I questioned if I could wait until the weekend and was told no. I went to pickup the car it was not ready. I informed my sales person that I was in a hurry, I had to get back to work. I was left waiting for over 45mins. and the Finance person approached me. He was smiling in the process selling me things I did not need or want. I discovered what had occurred a few days later. I called and spoke with a manager, unsure of his name. He transferred my call to Dylan who informed me that the the unwanted items would be removed in three weeks. I made a visit to the dealership Dylan did paper work removing the unwanted extended maintenance, had me to sign, but did not give me a copy of the paper work. after he discovered he had been taped a check was sent to me for the unwanted extended maintenance I want the one thousand dollars return, charged for detail work. I would never pay that kind of money to have detail work done. When I questioned Dylan he stated I signed paper. I am writing this because I notice this appears to be a behavior of Suburban Ford, taking advantage of someone when they are in a hurry, have them to wait for a while, talk to the customer and the customer pay the consequences

We strive for total satisfaction. As we have all proper documentation that the customer voluntarily chose the after sale products, we have no problem refunding the full amount. A check will be issued to the customer and lien holder asap.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I wish you could give a ZERO!!! Surburban Ford of Sterling Heights is sham bait company. Stay clear of this company! Vito Vultaggio called me last night(Friday) to accept our offer we made on Thursday. We had to come in Saturday to pay for the car since he called right as they closed for the day. Vito and Nathan called back Saturday morning to tell us someone had just test driven the car and we would not be getting it. Not sure how accepting an offer over the phone when you call the customer and say what Vito did " we will take your offer because we want to earn your business and we just ask you tell people about us and repeat buy in the future." Well Vito, I am telling people about how you and your company are very shady. Guys like this sure do give used car saleman bad names! BUYER BEWARE!!!

This company is advertising test drive a new vehicle, get $50.00 no lease or finance and no gimmicks. I was told the gift card will come in the mail 4 weeks later, never came, comfronted the company about it and they said it takes 6 weeks to come, still nothing after 6 weeks. Same thing I confront them after 6 weeks and was told 8 weeks, again same thing didn't come. I confronted the company again and was told 10 weeks. Still nothing and I confronted them again, they told me the gift cards don't even get shipped untill after 10 weeks then wait an additional 6-10 weeks.

I put a deposit on a used vehicle, just so know body else could sell this particular truck,(was told deposit is totally refundable) till I could get approved for a loan. I could not get approved for the truck. Now for the last 3 weeks I have been trying to get my deposit back. The sales man that took my deposit, seems very weak(follow up) an making sure I get my deposit back. I have to keep asking where is it, his answers are he will look into it. I don't
think it should take this long to get a totally refundable deposit back.

The car I purchased needs some repairs and they want me to pay for them unreal. This car has 20,000 miles on it and they need to fix it.

I went to this dealership with the intention of driving home with a new car. The salesman I dealt with was very unconcerning and uninterested and made me feel my purchase was of no importance to him because I have a budget. He ridiculed my trade in and made no effort to close the deal. I felt embarrassed and not worth his time or effort. I will never shop there again nor will my family.

The staff and managers do not take pride in excellent customer service. My experience here was horrible and will never patronized them again. They are very rude, and will mislead you just to get your business. They do not honor their own policy. I say if you have any negative experiences with this company, expose them. File a complaint with the Revdex.com, State licensing LARA and the Attorney General Consumers Protection.

This place has the worst customer service ever. my car shopping turned out to be a night mare experience. I went there three times to purchase a car that I seen on there website, the first time I was the car was sold, the second time they said the same thing so the third time was this last Saturday on 6/16/18 I decided that I will call them to make sure that the car was still there so I called roughly around 9 or 10 am and they said it was still available, I called around 2pm and they said the same thing, I called them around 4 and the sales person said let me check with my manager and than he came back and said there are no pending sales on it so its still here, I told him I will be there in 10- 15 min sure enough I went in and they said the car has been sold just about 1 hour ago and I spoke to brian older gentleman and told him well I called literally 15min ago and they said it was here, so I told him that they were playing games with me, it seemed like you wanted me to just come in even though I explained to all the people that were involved that I am limited on time and I needed a car asap. I asked to speak to a manager and brian seem to be gone for about 30 min to get me a manager so I just walked out. I called the dealer and spoke to a lady at the front desk wanting a phone number to file a complaint about this matter and she said I don't know what that number would be, so I asked for a HR # and she transferred my to a payroll person, so I called back and asked to speak to a manager and she tranfered be to a sales manager name brian, and I said are you the manager and he said kind of how can I help you and I said I need a manager, he kept on saying how can I help you and I said I want a manager and very loudly he yelled how can I help you at that point I just hung the phone up. They were the worst dealer ever and they provided the worst customer service. I will make sure that I make this know to all of my family and friends and through out the social media. sterling heights are has a huge Chaldean and Assyrian community and I will make sure that no one does business with these people ever.
The people were involved were, BRIAN SALES MANAGER/BRIAN SALES PERSON/RACHEL/BRIA/TARA/ASHLEY AND THE FRONT DESK STAFF.

My husband and I have bought 4 cars from this dealer, whom I’ve also referred my son and others to because of their good pricing. However, I’ll never buy or refer again after this last purchase on Friday. We bought a very nice 2014 Escape Titanium. After first negotiating a fair price on the vehicle and then waiting about 2.5-3 hours for the whole financing process, we were told by ANTHONY *** we had NO OPTION but to buy the $1000 worth of paint and fabric protection (on a car with leather seats!) that was allegedly ALREADY applied to the vehicle (isn’t this false advertising by not including this in the advertised price if it’s not optional???). Also the protection has NO WARRANTY because it’s a 2014 vehicle - then WHY would you pay for this? How is this FAIR ADVERTISING when they are jacking the price you have to pay in order to walk out the door with the vehicle AFTER going through the whole process to pick the car and negotiate price... then only to find you’re getting SCREWED when your tired and don’t want to have to start all over somewhere else? THEY DIDNT DO THIS 3 Years ago when we bought our last car there, but they did do this to my son last year- only they got him for GAP, tire and wheel, and fabric/paint- THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS! I thought he just didn’t know how to tell them no! WE WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN and I will be sure to post on every media site if I do not get my $1000 back!

Bought a 2011 Ford Escape with low miles in September 2017, a couple months later when I went in to an oil change at a different dealership, I found out the tires had dry rot and need to be replaced. About a month after that the check engine light came on and it was determined that I would need a new engine. Called the salesmen I bought the car from an he explained that I would need to pay for a tow and bring the car to their service center for them to do anything about it. I did not want to be further conned, so I had it fixed at a shop I knew was legit.

My husband and I bought a used SUV from here last week. We test drove it Monday with no problems, but after we took it on Tuesday after signing papers we realized the tail lights and other lights weren’t working. A look under the hood showed relay switches were removed since the test drive. We bought new ones and replaced them ourselves and now the lights work again. Shady company that messes with cars after you buy them.
