Suburban Mailbox Reviews (4)

The business and I can to a resolution He refunded my money and has taken his mailbox in exchange You may close the complaint as resolved

I only got messages, I went out to take a look at it In the beginning, he only mentioned the wood cover I do agree that the wood cover has warped, but the mailbox post has not moved, there is nothing wrong with it I'm more than happy to replace the wood cover, but not the
post, and no refund will be given

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Calls were placed to Suburban Mail on 6/29,7/5,7/11,and on 8/10. In the first call I clearly stated that (1)the mailbox post had started to warp,(2)that one of the slats on the mailbox cover was warped and (3) that the top of the newspaper box was warped. In call #2 these issues were again relayed to Suburban Mailbox. Call #3 stated that there were problems with the mailbox post installation and call # 4 was to inform the owner that he only had a few more days to respond to my Revdex.com complaint. If needed,I can obtain the phone records from my service provider to show the date, time, and duration of the phone calls to Suburban Mailbox. It doesn't matter if there was 1 call or 100 call placed to Suburban Mailbox. What matters is that in each call I requested the owner to call me to discuss the problems and to date he has not returned my calls. He said he came out to my place to check the mailbox - did he call to say he was coming? No! Did he come to my door to talk to me about it? No! Did he call me when he got back to his business? No!  He waited past the 30 days to respond to the Revdex.com complaint and then decides to reply and says he is happy to replace the mailbox cover, but never once contacted me. The unit that Suburban Mailbox has produced for me is an inferior product. For the problems described to occur within two months of the installation is totally unacceptable. I have had 4 individuals from the area stop by as they were interested in getting a similar setup, but questioned as to why the post/mailbox cover/newspaper box were warped and asked what the owner doing to rectify the problems. Take a look at the attached photos and you can see what they saw and what I see,but Mr. R[redacted] fails to see. I am trying to make this easy for Mr. R[redacted],but he has been uncooperative and unresponsive since the initial call on 6/29. If Mr. R[redacted] facilitates the refund that I asked for in my Revdex.com complaint, then I will condifer the matter resolved. In not, then I will see him in court.         Regards,
Thomas Travers

I have gone and taken a 2nd look at this mailbox set up.  As before, the wood cover does have a warped board and I am glad to refund Mr. [redacted] money for this ($25 +tax)  On the 2nd look I did see a very small bow to the top board of the newspaper tube I will also refund the money for this ($30 + tax)  Thanks Thomas R[redacted].
