Suburban Paving Reviews (3)

Suburban did a complete removal and replacement of our circular drive...called back within two 2 requesting he check a suspicious/concerning area. Eventually, Frank come (to pick up some cones) and assured us the the line we were seeing was not going to be a problem and just a “division” line. SHOCKER...driveway cracked just like we thought and although Frank promised to repair in the Spring (at our expense which was “ok” sort of) all attempts to have the work done have been ignored. Numerous calls/messages have been ignored, FB messages requesting contact ignored, letters mailed AND delivered requesting if nothing else the courtesy of telling us if he planned on honoring his word to repair have been ignored. Work turned out to be substandard, and professional protocol in returning calls non-existent, disappointing and unacceptable! We even agreed to have his son seal the driveway...for even more expense at his suggestion now that his son is in the business, even though previously he told us it wouldn’t be necessary...and we agreed. Looks like we aren’t the only consumers that Suburban let down and took advantage of!

Review: On or about May 21, 2013 I spoke to [redacted] from Suburuban Paving. He came to my home at [redacted] to provide an estimate to remove the blacktop from our driveway and repave it with new black top/asphalt. [redacted] provided us with a reasonable price and we agreed to have Suburban Paving complete this job for us. On or about June 28, 2013, [redacted] provide this service and upon completion of this work he gave me a signed receipt that stated the job is guaranteed for a period of one year. On or about June 20, 2014 I began calling Suburban Paving when I noticed the asphalt/black top was lifting in certain areas and also causing grass from underneath to grow thru the spots that are lifting. I have continued to call the phone number on my receipt and when I reach a voicemail where I have left detailed messages. I have not had any of my calls returned. On or about August 6, 2014 I sent a written letter via certified mail but have not had any response from Suburban Paving. On or about August 28, 2014. I received this mail piece from post office as unclaimed since the postal carrier was not able to deliver this letter.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my driveway regraved properly as stated in the signed agreement, which is the service that was paid for in full.

Review: The contractor paved the driveway to my house. The work was done nine months ago and there are already signs of damage and erosion. The damage was first noticeable four months after the work was completed. There has been no misuse of the driveway. I have only one car. No one parks there but myself and I do not move any objects on the driveway besides my small car. I called the contractor multiple times over the last five months (March 2013-August 2013) to come by and look at the damage. He has not come to look at the driveway. He has not returned my calls. The driveway has a one year guarantee that expires November 2013Desired Settlement: I would like the contractor to put a seal down on the driveway to prevent further damage. If that is not possible, I would like the contractor to return a portion of my payment.
