Suddath kept sending us messages with varying dates of delivery. We were unsure if our delivery would actually be on the Jan 2md because of the variation. *** left early to make his way to *** from *** AL on Jan 2nd. While he was just 2 hours away driving in extremely bad weather, we got a text saying that they were an hour away, we were given NO EARLIER NOTICE AT ALL. Just an hour! All we asked is that instead of delivering then, they waited another hour or two until he could get to the house, but instead we recieved a delayed response that they were going to just drive to *** instead and lock our stuff in storage. Then they told us even later that we wouldnt get our stuff for another WEEK. So we are in an empty house with a two year old. Horrible treatment for a couple that both served in the military.

Suddath relocated me from Pottstown Pa to Orlando Fl. They picked up my items from a storage container owned by *** moving company. *** moved my items there in March of 2017. Suddath was Hired in April 2017 to then move everything to Orlando. Suddath decided for liability reasons they were going to "repack" all of my items. Sounded like a great idea to ensure that nothing would get broke, however their way of packing was to "lift" my already packed plastic tubs and place them in boxes. There was no "repacking". Then, when things were broke, trash cans, shades, etc. They refused to pay for them on my claim and blamed the breakage on the first moving company which was completely false. Secondly, the first moving company *** did not pack my dresser drawers. They informed me to pack my things securely, which I did and I taped the drawers shut. Suddath took it upon themselves (without my knowledge) to repack my dresser drawers. I was missing an IPHONE watch which was hidden within the clothing in the drawers. The 5 bands that were hidden were found in the boxes they packed but the watch (which was useless to whomever took it due to the password on it) was taken. Suddath refused to own up to it and once again blamed it on *** who never touched my dresser drawers. After a 7 month dispute with the Suddath they then indicated that they weren't going to pay the claim because I did not list the watch as a high value item. They also refused to pay for the trash can, shades and the dirty furniture that they delivered because they did not wrap it appropriately. All the vendor would entertain is a razor slit to one of my bar stools (again because it wasn't properly protected).

To Whom It May Concern,

Suddath Van Lines, Inc., its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries (collectively, “Suddath”) is in receipt of the Complaint. Suddath greatly appreciates that Ms. took time to share her experience with the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”). Suddath takes all feedback seriously and constantly evaluates how it can deliver a superior customer service experience. Accordingly, and after looking into the Complaint, Suddath tenders this response to the Complaint.
Suddath provided moving and storage services for Ms. in connection with her relocation from Pennsylvania to Florida. In the Complaint, Ms. alleged that Suddath lost or damaged certain of her household goods during the course of the relocation to Florida. Ms. filed a claim with Suddath seeking to receive compensation for the goods she contended were lost or damaged. Suddath processed and adjusted Ms. claim but, in the Complaint, Ms. expressed her disappointment with Suddath's claim settlement. The primary contentions of Ms. Complaint are addressed below.

Ms. asserted that Suddath refused to honor her claim as to certain goods and "blamed the breakage on the first moving company." As noted by Ms. in the Complaint, her goods were first transported and placed into storage by a third-party moving and storage company unaffiliated with Suddath. Upon loading her goods out of that storage, and prior to taking custody and control of Ms. goods, Suddath's crew initially inspected her goods and noted certain defects and damage as to certain goods. Since Ms. claim with Suddath sought compensation for defects and damage to her goods that were noted at the time of the Suddath crew's initial inspection of the goods, Suddath denied Ms. claim as to those goods. Because the defects and damage predated Suddath's handling of her goods, Suddath directed Ms. to a point of contact at the third-party moving and storage company for purposes of pursuing her claim.

Ms. alleged that upon the completion of her relocation, she discovered that she was missing an IPHONE watch. She requested compensation for the watch when she filed her claim with Suddath. However, Suddath's records do not contain any transportation or storage documents demonstrating that Ms. shipment of household goods included the watch. Moreover, despite a requirement that she do so, Ms. did not notate the watch on the transportation and storage documentation she completed in connection with her relocation. Thus, Suddath denied Ms. claim as to the watch. If Ms. suspects an act of theft relating to the watch, as she intimates in her Complaint, she is welcome to file a police report with the appropriate authorities.

Finally, Ms. expressed frustration with the settlement she received for damage to a stool. Because Suddath did not note preexisting defects or damage to the stool when taking the stool into its custody and control, Suddath tendered the settlement amount claimed by Ms.. Thus, Ms. frustrations arising from the settlement of her claim as to the stool appear without basis.

Suddath seeks to provide superior customer service and hopes this response is helpful to the Revdex.com and Ms.. Should the Revdex.com need additional information from Suddath, please contact Suddath’s Legal Department.

Very truly yours,

Suddath Legal Department

To Whom It May Concern,

Suddath Van Lines, Inc., its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries (collectively, “Suddath”) is in receipt of the Complaint. Suddath greatly appreciates that Ms. took time to share her experience with the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”). Suddath takes all feedback seriously and constantly evaluates how it can deliver a superior customer service experience. Accordingly, and after further looking into the Complaint, Suddath tenders this additional response to the Complaint.
Suddath provided moving and storage services for Ms. in connection with her relocation from Pennsylvania to Florida. Ms. filed a claim with Suddath seeking to receive compensation for the goods she contended were lost or damaged. Suddath processed and adjusted Ms. claim but, in the Complaint, Ms. expressed her disappointment with Suddath's claim settlement.

Suddath addressed the primary contentions of Ms. Complaint in its response to the Revdex.com on November 13, 2018 (the "Response"). However, Ms. rejected the Response on November 19, 2018, expressing continued frustration with the claim settlement process (the "Rejection"). Suddath addresses the primary contentions of the Rejection below.

Ms. asserted that Suddath refused to honor her claim as to certain goods and "blamed the breakage on the first moving company." As noted by Ms. in the Complaint, her goods were first transported and placed into storage by a third-party moving and storage company unaffiliated with Suddath. Because the defects and damage predated Suddath's handling of her goods, Suddath directed Ms. to a point of contact at the third-party moving and storage company for purposes of pursuing her claim. If Ms. is unsatisfied with the third-party moving and storage company's handling of her claim, that is an issue for Ms. to raise and pursue directly with the third party moving and storage company, not Suddath. Moreover, the third party moving and storage company should be able to provide Ms. with documentation relevant to her claim.

Ms. alleged that upon the completion of her relocation, she discovered that she was missing an IPHONE watch. She requested compensation for the watch when she filed her claim with Suddath. However, Suddath's records do not contain any transportation or storage documents demonstrating that Ms. shipment of household goods included the watch. Thus, Suddath denied Ms. claim as to the watch. Based on Ms. Rejection, Suddath understands that Ms. will be filing a police report with the appropriate authorities.

Suddath seeks to provide superior customer service and hopes this response is helpful to the Revdex.com and Ms.. Should the Revdex.com need additional information from Suddath, please contact Suddath’s Legal Department.

I am rejecting this response because: I would like to wait to see Suddath's response after they receive the police report. It will be sent to them this week.

We had a terrible overall experience with Suddath. The company was disorganized in terms of timing (in a high-rise apartment building where we had the elevator reserved from 9am-1pm, we were told that day they would be done by 1 and weren’t done until 4:30), disorganized in the fact that the had the entire inventory list and did not bring enough mattress bags for the mattresses and box springs. They put odds and ends in a box, including random screws that they rolled up in duct tape. There were no markers or indications where any of these small parts went to.
The two biggest complaints were regarding the furniture. We were not shown the inventory list after the move-out and did not realize until we received our delivery that they had documented that almost every piece of furniture was damaged and/or severely worn, when all of the furniture was less than 3 years old, some pieces barely used, and in excellent condition. The inventory list was written by the foreman, Vincent Tarver, who also wanted us to give him a good review on google, without showing us this inventory list, in which he fabricated the condition of the furniture without our knowledge. We also discovered upon delivery that one section of a $1700 sectional sofa was broken (the wood frame was cracked in half), one end table frame was broken, the legs of two dressers were damaged and a large, glass desk was missing parts.
The company did not want to take any responsibility. We have previously used long distance movers multiple times and this was by far THE WORST experience.

Revdex.com Complaint: *** (the “Complaint”)

To Whom It May Concern,

Suddath Van Lines, Inc., its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries (collectively, “Suddath”) is in receipt of the Complaint. Suddath greatly appreciates that *** took time to share his experience with the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”). Suddath takes all feedback seriously and constantly evaluates how it can deliver a superior customer service experience. Accordingly, and after looking into the Complaint, Suddath tenders this response to the Complaint.
In the Complaint, *** alleges that he engaged Suddath to provide and facilitate transportation, storage, and/or related services in connection with his international relocation from *** to the *** (the “Services”). *** asserts that, in advance of his relocation, he received a quote from Suddath based on anticipated Services (the “Quote”). *** contends that Suddath’s destination agent in the *** (the “Destination Agent”) held up delivery of his shipment until he paid storage fees and other unknown charges, ultimately increasing the cost of his relocation to an amount in excess of that provided in the Quote. In light of the discrepancy between the lower quoted price and the higher final/actual price of the relocation, *** is requesting a billing adjustment in the amount of $3,000.

Suddath’s investigation of the Complaint confirmed that Suddath, in connection with its agents, performed the Services envisioned by the Quote within typical customs clearance times and without unnecessary delay. The additional fees, taxes/duties, and charges at issue in the Complaint, and assessed by the Destination Agent prior to delivery of ***’s shipment, related to fees, taxes/duties, and charges that were expressly excluded from the Quote. For example, the Destination Agent collected taxes/duties in the amount of $2,564.15, port storage/demurrage charges of $833.23, and terminal handling charges of $324.40. Again, all of these fees, taxes/duties, and charges were excluded from the Quote. Thus, upon reviewing the unique facts and circumstances underlying the Complaint, and for the reasons set forth herein, Suddath is rejecting ***’s request for a billing adjustment.

Suddath seeks to provide superior customer service and hopes this response is helpful to the Revdex.com and ***. Should the Revdex.com need additional information from Suddath, please contact Suddath’s *** Department.

Very truly yours,

Revdex.com Complaint: *** (the “Complaint”)

To Whom It May Concern,

Suddath Van Lines, Inc., its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries (collectively, “Suddath”) is in receipt of the Complaint. Suddath greatly appreciates that *** continues to take time to share his experience with the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”). Suddath takes all feedback seriously and constantly evaluates how it can deliver a superior customer service experience. Accordingly, and after further looking into the Complaint, Suddath tenders this additional response to the Complaint.
In the Complaint, *** alleged that he engaged Suddath to provide and facilitate transportation, storage, and/or related services in connection with his international relocation from *** to the *** (the “Services”). *** asserted that, in advance of his relocation, he received a quote from Suddath based on anticipated Services (the “Quote”). *** contended that Suddath’s destination agent in the *** (the “Destination Agent”) held up delivery of his shipment until he paid storage fees and other unknown charges, ultimately increasing the cost of his relocation to an amount in excess of that provided in the Quote. In light of the discrepancy between the lower quoted price and the higher final/actual price of the relocation, *** requested a billing adjustment in the amount of $3,000.

Suddath investigated ***’s Complaint and responded to the Revdex.com on October 4, 2018 (the “Response”). In the Response, Suddath quantified various fees, taxes/duties, and charges that were assessed by the Destination Agent and clarified that such fees, taxes/duties, and charges were expressly excluded from the Quote. As such, Suddath rejected ***’s request for a billing adjustment.

On October 9, 2018, *** rejected the Response, advising that he still had questions and concerns regarding Suddath’s billing as it related to his relocation.

On October 15, 2018, Suddath responded to ***’s rejection of October 9, 2018 (the “Second Response”), advising the Revdex.com and *** that a member of Suddath’s *** team would be reaching out to *** within the week to coordinate a call during which Suddath and *** could walk through the billing and invoices associated with ***’s relocation. Suddath expressed confidence that such a direct conversation would address ***’s inquiries and otherwise facilitate an amicable resolution of this matter.

On October 16, 2018, *** rejected the Second Response. In doing so, *** continued to raise questions and concerns regarding the billing and invoices associated with his relocation.

As previously noted in the Second Response, a member of Suddath’s *** team will contact *** to coordinate a call during which Suddath and *** can (i) walk through the billing and invoices associated with ***’s relocation and (ii) address ***’s questions and concerns relating thereto. As expressed in the Second Response, Suddath seeks an amicable resolution to this matter and is confident that a direct conversation with *** will facilitate that end.

Suddath seeks to provide superior customer service and hopes this response is helpful to the Revdex.com and ***. The impending direct conversation between Suddath’s management and *** should eliminate the need for continued exchanges through the Revdex.com portal. Nonetheless, should the Revdex.com need additional information from Suddath, it can contact Suddath’s *** Department.

Very truly yours,

Suddath

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: Suddath has fraudulently charged me for Shuttle services as well as double charged me for a Crate. Attempts were made to scare me off and we're unsuccessful. I want my shuttle fees refunded immediately and all harassment from Suddath to stop. The letters written in response are unprofessional and demeaning. Refund this charge as I am not just going away.

This is my third military and yet the worst from this company. We had our stuff picked up from Europe and moved to the states (East Coast). The pick up was middle of June and the packers there did amazing. Now, our stuff was picked up in the middle of June and yet it set around in Europe till the 17th of July to be moved to the port for transportation. The delivery date that I signed for was the 30th of July and yet the company says the no later date is the 13th of August. The company has said compensation can not start till the 13th of August at 5pm. I called the company on the 26th of July and found out that our stuff literally left Europe 9 days earlier. I’m confused as why as my property set around for a little over a month before having any kinds of movement. I have called since then and got a tracking information for ship, which was the ships name and Eta of the port arrivals. The ship arrived early at one port and yet they do not know if our shipment was dropped at that port or not. The information every time I call is something different. You order something on Amazon and you can track it, that simple. This company that does everyday can not even do this.

This was supposed to be a 2-day pack 1-day load. turned into 3-day pack 1-day load 07 May 2018. Late every day. No communications. The reasoning was that the mover that they contracted was the only one in our area. (Monopoly) this company contracted is not vetted, conditions are horrible, facility conditions were disgusting. There was no form of communication, until the recent weeks, and even that is hit or miss now that the contracted company has done their part. but it only took the News, and reports from hundreds of other families to get something in motion. I received a tiny portion of my goods about 2 months ago, tons of damage and none of it to support my family’s habability. It is three months now, school is about to start and my kids have only a few clothes, and it is emotional to them they they might have to wear the same clothes over and over and get picked on in school. I hate saying it but that is schools these days. I as a father have failed my family, because of this company, my children don’t understand that Suddath did this, all they see is daddy isn’t providing for us. I will do everything in my power to end this contract they have with the military. I’m done being taken advantage of because companies like this abuse military over a paycheck. Completely no oversight, that’s going to change.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me pending the sucessful delivery of household goods. Our household goods were scheduled for delivery this Thursday, August 2 (one month past our required delivery date from Suddath) I understand the high volume of military moves that take place in the summer. I wish that Suddath was upfront and honest in the timelines provided so that I could have planned accordingly for my families needs. Our family has three young children and two large dogs. If Suddath would have been upfront with our family in the amount of time it would have taken them to move our household goods, we could have made our move much smoother. All moves are stressful and I found this one more stressful due to miscommunication from Suddath.

Regards

Lied to by our move coordinator multiple times. Told the day before load they had not confirmed driver, and no driver was available. Was promised to be a door to door move. Only 1/2 our items were delivered, which was 3 weeks after promised date and 2 weeks after RDD. We have to wait till early August to get the other 1/2 of our items. Terrible customer service. Total disregard for military families. They should not be awarded government contracts.

Madison Falls was my moving coordinator....I say was because she went on vacation the day my house got packed and forgot to assign us a mover. She then ignored all emails and texts when she eventually got back into office. Our stuff stayed in Arizona a whole month before it even got an assigned driver. They eventually got our things and then we waited another week for it to be delivered. Worst military move ever!

Very poor service! Packers quit on day two. Answers the phone once in a blue moon and returns a phone call every other blue moon. Lost track of the status of my shipment. It left my house on 14 June. I am still in a hotel and they expect my family of four (2 teenage boys) to live in one room for over six weeks while they figure out how to do their job. Expected delivery date is 30 July. I had to call the origination location to find out my stuff had been created for two weeks and the Suddath had no idea it was ready for pick up. I told them and they called the next day to say “good news it’s created and ready for pick up” No duh. I told you that the day before. When a company messes up the customer expects the company to own it and do everything to make it up to the customer. Not with Suddath. They have their money from the government and don’t care about the customer. This is you time to shine Suddath. Do you care or not.

Suddath missed the pick-up date (6/22) on a Military move that was scheduled back in March. As of today, we have no resolution or confirmed date for pick up. Calls to the company go unanswered and messages are never returned. All household goods are packed and ready to load and move- but we cannot get a truck or even a phone call. We are asking only for them to complete the job they started - and contractually agreed to do - as soon as possible.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: Curiously, it was Suddath that established telephonic rather than written communication when Christina called, as our household goods were being packed , to inform us that there would be no truck on Friday, per the contract. After being pressured by the DOD, Suddath always communicated through phone calls and never via email. Suddath continues to fail in their communications with us and has still not provided any communication via email. It is unacceptable that Suddath’s response implies that the failure to communicate was our responsibility when the method of communication was established by them.

Regards

We had no communication from Suddath regarding our household goods delivery. I contacted them the day before the required delivery date and after multiple voicemails finally got a call back late in the day saying they had no information or update on our shipment. The "move coordinator" promised a call back with more information on our shipment and guidelines for an "inconvenience claim." We did not receive the promised call back. On the required delivery date, we received no update or call back so my wife and I both called multiple times. We got a call at the end of the day using a lot of words to basically say they have no idea where our stuff is. It's still in the location we left 2 weeks ago and they have no idea when it will be delivered. We were again promised a call back with more information regarding "inconvenience claim/rates" so I can take care of my family (wife, 5 kids and myself). Again, no call back, no helpful information and we have no idea what we will or will not be reimbursed for. Sleeping on carpet and having no idea when we will have our household goods is unacceptable. The government should not be paying this company at all. They distance themselves from the problem by using "move coordinators" and "operations teams" and ultimately "blaming" drivers. We submitted our move information months ago and yet they managed to totally drop the ball and have no idea whatsoever is going on with our shipment. Will file a formal complaint once this finishes playing out. I apologize for this company in advance for all the military families reading this!

We are a military family that was moving from Pensacola, FL to Chesapeake, VA. Suddath was our Transportation company that was responsible from picking up our stuff in Pensacola and bringing it to Chesapeake. We received a Required Delivery Date of June 11th, which means that our stuff must be in the area/house by that date. We have been using their tracking portal to keep track of our stuff and when we finally got updated information it said that our stuff is not expected to arrive until June 12th. I had reached out to the company in Jacksonville 3 times asking for an Inconvenience Claim so we can get some items since we have an empty house. Today is now the 13th and I finally got someone to respond and when he does he is rude and just kept saying there was nothing he can do hes just updating me. Now, they are telling me that our stuff is not expected to arrive some where between the 12th and the 15th. I double check the tracker again and it says that our stuff arrived to the warehouse today, but no one is able to give me a date/time when our stuff can be delivered to our house. They are "working on it" so I call the warehouse that has our stuff and I am told that they actually do NOT have it and that Suddath made the error and said that it arrived. I have called Suddath 2 times now and left 2 voicemails and have emailed their manager. This company should NEVER be allowed to do business with military moves. We have moved a handful of times (overseas) and never had such awful customer service and experience like this. Just to add to all of this their tracking portal actually says that our stuff was delivered on June 1 when it was actually still sitting in the warehouse in Pensacola, FL. The lack of care from the Jacksonville office is really sad to be honest. I even asked if they were able to keep track of their drivers to know where about they are and I was told no they do not get constant updates about where the driver is.

I understand the shortage but what they are claiming is unacceptable as the reason. I say this because it took two weeks to even locate my stuff because suddath kept saying that it would be delivered day after day and then it finally took the vice president to tell me that it was actually still sitting in Alabama so I was lied to multiple times and was also told multiple times by two different people at the company that my stuff was in transit and that nobody could tell me exactly where it was at. And then we find out that it's still sitting in Alabama. Yes they gave us an inconvenience claim but that does not make the situation right. The company itself should take responsibility for what happened and stop blaming it on the fact that its peak season 4 moves for the military and there's a shortage of drivers if they do not have enough drivers to move their stuff in the allotted amount of time that is on them they should not take contracts. It makes it even worse when I get told by their East Coast relocation manager that treadeth messed up and it was their fault for what happened.

I am rejecting this response because:

Should not be in business any more. Extensive water damage to belongings and almost 3 months out no reimbursement or replacement of damaged items. Items damage were only high value items including a bed and the companies response is that I should go buy an air mattress until they can be bothered to review the claim and they have 90 days to do that. Customer service does not like to answer their phone or address customers concerns. Damaged to personal belongs was greater than $12,000 still waiting for review of claim.

While the move itself went well, turns out one item, a five gallon drum of US currency never made it to the destination. After filing a claim with the company, they ultimately denied my claim, and said I had signed the document saying every item, all 155, were checked off as received in good order. I was somewhat disappointed, because they are hiding behind an unreasonable standard that since I signed their BINGO sheet, they have no further liability. Wrong answer. Suddath stole my currency instead of delivering it, and sold me insurance in the event that something happened, then told me that was not insurance. Sorry. Very disappointed by the service, and response to this matter. Will NOT refer United, Suddath to any of my friends pondering a move. Sorry.

Suddath is regretful Ms. is dissatisfied with the outcome of her claim. Ms. filed a claim for missing currency that was included in her shipment. The basis for the denial of Ms.’s claim is all goods (including the currency) checked off as received on Suddath’s BINGO sheet at delivery. However, after receiving Ms.’s claim for the missing currency, Suddath made a good faith effort to perform a courtesy trace, but was unable to locate the currency.

In addition, any goods that are considered to have an extraordinary value should have been listed on the High Value Inventory Form. This form was left blank, and signed by Ms.. This evidenced to Suddath that no goods with an extraordinary value were loaded into the shipment.

For the reasons set forth above, Suddath denied the claim.

To Whom It May Concern,

Suddath Van Lines, Inc., its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries, including Suddath Relocation Systems of Jacksonville, Inc. (collectively, “Suddath”) is in receipt of the Mr.’s additional concerns relating to the Complaint.

Again, Suddath is regretful Mr. continues to be dissatisfied with the outcome of his claim. The currency in Mr.’s shipment was assigned a number on the inventories (the “Assigned Number”). The Assigned Number was checked off as received by Mr. on the BINGO sheet when the shipment was delivered. Thus, without proof that an item is missing, Suddath is under no obligation to honor a missing item claim.

Regarding the statements that Mr. purchased insurance coverage from Suddath, this is not accurate. Suddath is not an insurance carrier, and does not offer insurance coverage. Suddath does, however, provide valuation for a shipment. Valuation is not insurance, and does not include coverage for currency. If Mr. desired insurance coverage, which is separate and apart from valuation, he should have purchased such coverage from a third-party insurance carrier.

Suddath stands next to its denial of Mr.’s claim.

Suddath hopes this response is helpful to the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”) and Mr.. Should the Revdex.com need additional information from Suddath, please contact Suddath’s Legal Department.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I find it preposterous that such a reputable business hides behind an unreasonable standard that simple signing a "BINGO" sheet confers all the responsibility of loss upon me. Thomas Davenport had another delivery to make that day, and did not stay around long enough to allow me the opportunity to go thru all 155 items which were labeled. If Suddath continues to insist they have no responsibility for lost items, I will take this matter up on legal grounds to achieve a more reasonable resolution.

Regards

Upon deliver of house hold goods from Fort *** it was discovered that numerous items were damaged.

Prior to delivery the pick up process was horrible. The pick up team did not arrive to my residence until approximately 2200 hours. That alone is unacceptable. Numerous calls were placed to determine there arrival. We were assured they were on the way. They were scheduled to arrive in the morning but did not arrive until the late evening. As a result of their failure to arrive on time an entire day was wasted.

Upon arrival the pickup team was distraught and unorganized. Goods were thrown into their truck. As a result , my items were damaged during delivery. I voiced my concern via a telephone call and nothing came of it.

After delivery I filled out a form #1850, took pictures of all damage. The delivery team also voiced their disapproval with the state of my house hold goods and also took pictures. I was told I would be contacted.

I was never contacted. Due to my job and position I was extremely busy and did not have time to go to my local transportation office. I did fill out a damage claim online through the dpps system. The date it was filed was October 25. The date of delivery was 31 August. My claim was denied because it was not filed within 75 days of delivery. However, that is incorrect. I filed my claim within the window and also filled out a form #1850 during delivery. The claims adjuster did not contact us until 17 Decemebr. 52 days after the claim was made.

Following delivery I was sent to the field and did not unpack my own belonging until approximately one month after I returned. After my return and inboxing I filed my claim online. All pictures were provided in the claim.

Lastly, during the delivery process I checked to have the transportation team return and unpack my boxes. The team never returned. The government was charged 756 dollars for a service never conducted.

I have recently undergone a regular change of duty station transfer with the US Navy. My household goods shipment was due to arrive from Suddath no later than 6 Dec 2017. We received our unacompanied baggage shipment on the 6th, but not the household goods. On the 7th of Dec 2017 we contacted the company to inquire about our household items and their location. We were informed at that time that due to the delay we were allowed an inconvenience fund to assist with establishing a household and a per diem amount of $64.00 per person. We were provided an itemized list of regularly reimbursed items with locations to purchase and an approx amount. And we would be reimbursed on the week of Dec 11th. We had not had the opportunity to unpack our unaccompanied baggage so we took the itemized receipt to Walmart(on the list they provided as an authorized location to purchase from) and purchased the items line by line. We then attempted to contact them again several times to clarify some questions on the reimbursal process and what we do when we get some of these things in our shipments. We left messages and asked them to contact us regarding these questions. Over the next several days we unpacked the few boxes we had received and discovered we had a purchased a few items we now had in our possession. Given the financial hardship this move has exerted on us, over the course of the next week as we discovered this we slowly returned some of the items we purchased as we awaited a return call for clarification as to how to proceed to help relieve the strain on our credit cards. We could not get in contact with them, all our calls went to an answering machine with no call back. On the 14th of December, 8 days after our good should have already arrived, we were contacted by the moving company with an e-mail chain stating that our items were set to arrive at the DA on or about Monday the 18th of December. But we also had discovered from the shipping agent at our point of origin that the goods had been in San Diego since the 28th of November. On the morning of December 15th we were contacted by a Miss Hart where she informed us that because we had returned some of the items that they were now NOT going to reimburse ANY of the items, they would not provide our per diem and they were going to file for fraud and inform the military even though our reimbursement has not yet occured as they said it would. This situation of excessively late household goods coupled with a complete lack of communication and now threats of legal action and contacting my work is having an adverse effect on our personal and professional life and has resulted in stress related illness and hospital visits affecting my wife and infant son.
