Because Sugar Factory didn't honor our reservation on their opening night, they promised us a free meal on them. We were to receive a call from the manager that we spoke with, but he never called. He also never returned about a dozen voicemails and emails. He finally responded about three weeks ago saying he was sending the promised gift card, but never did.

They served me a burger with mold on both sides of the bread as well as hair hanging down from the burger. The manager Portia was unapologetic and wasn’t trying to fix the bill for the issue she tried to force me to pay the bill as well as called the police on my whole dining party.

No where to sit for someone who has a disability while waiting for 20 minites to be seated.

Took my twins there today for their 7th birthday. We had a reservation for 10 at 12:30. We arrived at 12:30. We were seated around 20 minutes later. About ten minutes after everyone's drink orders were taken, glasses of ice and candy arrived at our table. These glasses sat for ATLEAST 30 minutes (and in the meantime, the kids (all 7 of them) began to snack on the candy as their ice melted). When the waitress (who was very nice mind you) came with their drinks to pour in their ice, I requested everyone get new glasses of ice (since we were spending $25 each on all 10 of these glasses). That took another 10-15+ minutes. When we finally got the drinks, the waitress mentions it's going to be an extra $10 for more candy. Needless to say, this was THE FIRST TIME I called the manager over. I explained to her that I would not be paying for replacement anything when the glasses of ice have now been sitting for an hour. She said, "well the kids ate them and we have to replace them." I asked her why would she sit a cup of ice and candy in front of kids and not give them their drinks. She said the bar was behind. By 2:00pm, we now notice that EVERYONE around us has received their meals and desserts (some even packed up to leave) as we are still awaiting our appetizers. I go to the manager AGAIN and she claimed a new chef just got there and our food would be coming "shortly. " She offered 25% off the bill and 25% off the next visit. I assured her there would not be a "next visit," and requested the entire 50% off. She agreed. At 2:14pm MOST of our meals came out (keep in mind our reservation was at 12:30). However, my mom's meal WAS NOT brought out. So we went to the manager a THIRD time. Long story short, the food was mediocre and the drinks were over priced. We got the bill and they took NOTHING off of our drinks AT ALL. Just 60% off the food. It was RIDICULOUS!!! Stay away from this place/location!!

Where do I begin. I decided to bring my wife to the Sugar Factory in Crystal City located in Virginia. I scheduled a reservation online with Portia A. This individual provide great customer service and presented with prompt and courteous customer service. The planning process was a complete success. I requested to host a birthday celebration for my wife who had been talking about the Sugar Factory for sometime now. I successfully lock in her event for 3/3/2017 @ 10:30P.M.. The contract requested guest including myself and my wife arrive by 10:15 P.M., which we did. Two of my guest arrived at 10:00 P.M. On arrival, I noticed my guest sitting off to the side at a bar. My wife greeted the hostess advising her of our reservation and instruction us to give them a few minutes to get us seated. My wife went to join one of her girlfriends who arrived at 10:00P.M. Ten minutes went by and as myself and my buddy stood off to the side, I noticed my wife confronted the hostess again regarding our reservation. The hostess reassured my wife that our table was being prepared now. My wife advised her that at this point she would like to speak with the manager, or someone who could answer her questions regarding the purpose of a reservation, if you still had to wait. The hostess sent for the Manager, whom quickly responded. The Manager stated he had a party who he was awaiting their departure. It sounded as if they were having complication getting the party to leave and the Manager advised he may offer them drinks to get them to go. I was extremely confused due to the contractual lingo which stated the reservation only being allotted for two hours. We paid were paying customer just as they were, we were the party being inconvenienced. Yet the Manager stated he would offer the seated part drinks. Meanwhile my wife and her party waited for hour and 15 minutes. We were not seated until 11:30P.M.. During our wait I have been harassed and bashed by the hostess to another hostess. The hostess began addressing me

I had a reservation at Sugar Factory when I got there they was telling everybody that their system was down so they proceeded to tell me that they can't sit my whole party because everybody wasn't there but mam I have a reservation come to find out when I sit down you can even use your card they tell us that we have to walk down the street to the corner in the dark now and it's raining woman now to go to the ATM not going to happen so he sat down me and my husband my party order our drinks and food never got our food so my friend went over to talk to the manager she act like she in the world putting our hands up talkin was attitude so me and my sister say hold up now with all the hand motions so she tries to be funny and comes with the table and asked us what did we want them we want some water we don't want no dag on water we want I'll drink and food we didn't get out drink to 11:30 mind you we got there at 9:45 I told them to give us some to-go cups the waiter never even came back to the table the food was not even that good everybody didn't get their food the customer service and the management will say disgrace... Then to top that of me and my husband and two of my guest and go outside and we got a ticket on the car but the meters are not even on so how do we get a ticket as a matter of fact all the cars in the line had tickets.... we never received anything you no food and barely no drinks and the manager was very disrespectful this was on February 10th 2018.... and to top it off they knew that machines been down since 12 noon and still was letting people in.. the customer service was very horrible it was my birthday and they didn't accommodate us with nothing not even an apology it was so out of control in there... the worst birthday dinner ever..

we didn't make the payment because we didn't receive anything to make a payment that's how horrible the service was my other table I had paid because they had a different waiter and they got their food and their drink my table didn't get anything.... their card machine was down and they had to write everything by hand and we didn't know ahead of time until we got there and they told us we had to walk down the block in the dark and it was raining to the ATM ..
