Review: Sugar Plums Photo Booth did not show up to our wedding. More than 2 months have passed and we still are yet to receive our refund of $450.

My husband & I paid $450 to Sugar Plums Photo Booth on 1/15/2013 over the phone with [redacted], the owner of the business, using my husband's credit card.

The wedding month had arrived I had not heard anything from Sugar Plums Photo Booth since our January 15th purchase; not a receipt, proof of purchase, confirmation email, ect. So, on Wednesday, 5/1/2013 I called Sugar Plums Photo Booth to touch bases & make sure everything is settled for the Big Day. I spoke to [redacted] again & she sounded very rushed. She explained they're very busy & asked if I could email her information on my wedding; the date & time of the wedding, location, wedding colors & pictures of my fiancé & I. She said she will get back to me with samples of what they'll use at our photo booth by Friday, May 3rd.

On Monday, May 6th, I had not heard back after sending her the email with the requested info so I called again for an update. She claimed to have never received my email & asked for it again. So, I re-sent it.

Throughout the month of May we were in contact regarding the time they could arrive to setup. After many calls (mostly outbound because she rarely called back when she said she would) we agreed upon the arrival time & setup details.

I still never received samples of their work showing what would be used at the wedding (which was an expectation they set). On Friday, May 24, 2013 Sugar Plums Photo Booth did not show up to our wedding.

Late Friday night when I got back in touch with my cell phone at our hotel, there was a voicemail from [redacted] saying that their driver got in a car accident on the way to our wedding. She apologized & said we'll be receiving a full refund.

My husband & I left early Saturday morning for our out-of-country honeymoon.

I called Sugar Plums Photo Booth the day we returned to the states, Saturday, June 1st. I gained agreement that the full amount of $450 would be refunded. [redacted] explained they cannot return the funds to the credit card but instead in the form of a check & it can take up to 30 days. accepted that.

Each day my husband & I have checked the mail eagerly hoping to find our check. Still not receiving any funds nor any updates, on June 28th, I called Sugar Plums Photo Booth and left a message asking for an update on our refund.

Less than 30 minutes after I called the company, I received a text message from Sugar Plums Photo Booth that read "Hi [redacted] sorry the service in the office is down your check should go out within the next couple weeks it takes 30-60 days to issue. I have not forgot about you :)"

After receiving a reply via text message, my husband called Sugar Plums Photo Booth back. [redacted] was very rude to him & stated she's already talked to "your wife about this" & it can take up to 60 days for the check to arrive.

On July 24th, 2 months had passed since our wedding & we still had not received our $450. I called [redacted] asking for an update since her "30-60 day period" was now over & we still haven't been reimbursed. She told me that the check was sent out last week & we should have received it by now. She said it was check #1014. I informed her we've checked the mail everyday & it has not arrived. She said she'd check back with her accounting department & call me back. Before ending the conversation, I asked if she could call me back tomorrow with an update.

More than 24 hours passed & [redacted] had not called back so I called her. She did not answer the phone & I left a message requesting an update.

24 hours passed again with no interaction from Sugar Plums Photo Booth. My husband called on July 26th. The phone call was not answered yet again & a voicemail was left.

On July 29th, still not having heard anything back from Sugar Plums Photo Booth, we called again & went to voicemail again. The message we left said that due to the amount of time this has taken & lack of response from them, we are going to contact Kurtis & the Revdex.com. Within 2-3 minutes she called us back & said she can meet usDesired Settlement: At this point, us newlyweds simply want our money back as promised! A check for $450; which is the exact amount we paid the company In January.
