Sugarplum Visions Photography

I contacted Sugarplum Visions Photography to do a photo shoot in Leesburg, VA. Amy T agreed to come to Leesburg on Sunday, September 15 to do the photo shoot if I could get three other clients to fill the hour (the shoot was for 15-minute "mini sessions"). In the course of checking with my moms groups, Ms. T asked me to pay the $50 fee to secure my spot, as she had confirmed clients at 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and I was not guaranteed my 10:00 a.m. spot until I had paid. I paid her $50 through *** (at her request) on Tuesday, September 10 and indicated that I had other moms who were interested in signing-up for the shoot (one at 9:30 a.m. and a couple of others were still checking schedules etc.). Ms. T never gave me a deadline for sign-ups or gave any indication that there was a time limit on the offer to come to Leesburg.

On Wednesday, September 11 at 8:34 a.m. Ms. T stated "probably going to have it [the shoot] at One Loudoun" (a local retail center). On Thursday, September 12 at 1:57 p.m. Ms. T informed me that "since there's (sic) long gaps between sessions, the location will be as originally planned." and sent an *** Maps pin indicating a location in Haymarket, VA. I informed her that I could not come to the location she sent me (approximately 45 minutes from my home) on Sunday morning and asked for a refund since she changed the location after accepting payment from me with the understanding the shoot would be in Leesburg. Ms. T refused to provide a refund, became abusive and belligerent, and then blocked me on social media. She also did the same thing to another mom who had indicated she wanted to sign-up for the shoot, but hadn't made payment yet.

I contacted my bank who was unable to help as *** payments are processed as e-check. I contacted *** who is unable to help and who advised me to contact the police. *** also told me that it violates the user agreement to use their platform for business purposes.
