Dear [redacted],     [redacted] ordered a style that she had tried on in our stock in the exact same sizeand color. She wanted a "fresh dress". As you can see, she called andrequested a different style dress that she found on the internet from the samemanufacturer (see Special...

Order).      [redacted] came in for her alterations and shewanted to wear her dress strapless, however there was not sufficient support inthe bust line to achieve this. The dress fit her, but she needed additionalsupport to keep the top up. She was not happy because she envisioned a certainlook, and our seamstresses did all that they could to work with her.     [redacted] wrote us a letter and asked for some money off before she went onto socialmedia to bash us. That same day, she wrote an awful review on our [redacted]page. We have not responded to her because of her very nastycomments made on social media before we were even able to converse with her.Her damage had been done.     [redacted]'s figure needed straps to hold herbust line up. She was unhappy, but the fault was the construction of the style, not Sugarplum. [redacted] clearly does not want to assume the responsibility of cchoosing an alternate style on her own and we can't possibly be heldresponsible for her free choice.                 When asked if our seamstress would wear that dress to their child’s wedding is likeasking someone who likes chocolate ice cream if vanilla is their favorite. [redacted] selected this dress, not our seamstress.           As you can see, Sugarplum has been in business for 43 years making women look beautiful for their specialoccasion. Sugarplum’s unblemished record should reveal that [redacted] does notwant to own up to the fact that the dress she selected was a difficult fit towear strapless for a mature woman who needs a lift.     In the end, we did not charge her for over a $150 alteration so that she mightfeel that Sugarplum truly was trying to make her happy at our loss. Since thisis not our policy for services rendered, we feel we already responded to hergrievance. Thank you for hearing our side of the story.Very truly yours, [redacted]

Review: I purchased a Mother of the Bride dress for my daughter's wedding at Sugar Plum. I tried on the sample and they ordered the same size as the sample. They did not measure me, knowing that the samples sometimes get stretched out. When the dress came, it needed alterations and their seamstresses said it could be fixed. The dress did not fit properly after the first fitting. The second fitting was also not acceptable and the dress looked horrible. The salesperson tried to convince me to put straps on my strapless dress (I specifically wanted a strapless dress) to hide the mistakes. The dress did not fit properly at the bust or on the hips. When I asked the salesperson if she would wear a dress looking like this to her own daughter's wedding, she shook her head "no". They again tried to fix it and was made worse. This was only days before my daughter's wedding. I asked if I could have another dress and they said no and there was nothing that could be done. I had to buy another expensive dress from another shop at the last minute. I wrote a letter asking for compensation to the [redacted] but got no response.Desired Settlement: I wish to be compensated for the amount of the dress and the repairs.
