Suite-K

Review: I sent a check for $4,628.00 (Check #[redacted] on February 2, 2015) as a 50% deposit against a purchase order for Suite K to contract manufacture some cream and lotion products for Pure Pro. Lab batches had been made prior to this and were very good in quality. Their job was to match this quality on a large scale. I also sent down over $11,000 (my cost and I have the invoices to prove this) of raw materials to be used in the mixing of the lotion and cream. The product mixing dates were delayed but finally done in mid April. Suite K made several errors in mixing the formula including putting key ingredients in at temperatures 24 degrees Celsius higher than the formula specified. The products did not turn out properly. At first examination (within an hour of the mixing) the products seemed "OK". I approved them but within the next few hours as the products cooled they changed radically due to the mis application of the chemical neutralizer (it started going hyper to put it in layman's terms) and the product shot up in viscosity and became gluey and sticky. I asked for the forms I signed back to ammend them and they would not give them back to me. I told them that the batches were ruined. They had a conference call and asked for a week to try to remediate them. The results were not good. They offered to make a pilot batch with remaining raw materials of 25 K in size. It came in and it had not even been homogenized (mixed) fully and the label was marked Peppermint Foot Scrub (not our product). Several emails and nothing. They will not even return our deposit. I have requested a full refund of all my raw materials and the deposit. The exact total is: $15,888.16. They have refused. They also have not shipped any product (I don't want it but they haven't even said - here take it because they know it is bad). I have been in business 23 years. I have never had an experience this bad, ever.Desired Settlement: I just want my costs returned so I can go to another vendor and start again. This has really, really hurt my business. The total due is: $15,888.16. I have supporting documentation (invoices, receipts, shipping bills of lading, etc., I can get a copy of the cancelled check from the deposit sent). The fact that they did not even bother to return my deposit is unethical.
