Review: Sullivan & Company processed an unauthorized bank debit of $6,140. An authorization form was sent to me from Sullivan & Co. requesting payment, but I never signed it, because we were going to sit down and discuss the charges and the problems that I had with their bookkeeping service. They debited my company's bank account before we could have a meeting without receiving prior approval. The services provided by the company were very poor. I have been in business almost a decade, and I have never seen such shoddy work from a professional services company.Desired Settlement: I would like for the unauthorized charge to be return to [redacted] Corporation.

I am rejecting this response because: Sullivan and Company provided poor accounting services by entering incorrect data into our financial statements our records. The accountant from Sullivan and Company - [redacted] - routinely plugged numbers in our financial statements without asking for clarification from us on why there was a discrepancy. I have always maintained a separate spreadsheet that monitors our expenses and revenue, and I used this system to verify that the numbers that Sullivan and Company came up with in QuickBooks were correct. Each month, I had to point out to [redacted] that her numbers did not match my numbers. Then [redacted] and I would take hours and sometimes days to correct the numbers so that the financial statements reflected the correct numbers. This could have been avoided, if [redacted] had paid close attention to the numbers that she entered into QuickBooks rather than putting any number in so that she could move on to another client. I never authorized Sullivan and Company to do extra work, but I did want them to correct the numerous errors that [redacted] had created. I was informed by [redacted] Sullivan after [redacted] had corrected her errors that there would be over $6,000 in new charges and then they debited my bank account without my consent for work that they did to clear up the sloppy work that their accountant had done. My new accountant has spent numerous hours correcting the numbers that Sullivan and Company carelessly entered into my financial statements. I have been in business over 10 years, and I have never seen an accountant firm that did such poor accounting work without any regard for ensuring that the numbers that they enter are correct.

I am rejecting this response because: Sullivan did not dispute that they did sloppy accounting work, because [redacted] Sullivan knows that to be true. I have never seen an accounting firm with such poor accounting standards and procedures.
