Complaint I have paid $1200 down,two weeks laterstarted runnin hot paid$800, $400 ,$750 ORIGINAL PROBLEM STILL EXIST2002[redacted] ,PURCHASE CAR IN FEB, 2 WEEKS LATER CAR STARTED RUNNIN HOT,BROUGHT IT BACK TO THEM THEY KEPT IT OVER A MONTH CHARGED ME $800, KEPT IT 1 WEEK THEY HAD TO COME GET IT, SAME PROBLEM, $400, KEPT IT 2 WEEKS ,BROUGHT IT BACK KEPT IT ANOTHER MONTH $750 GOT IT BACK 8/8/2014,8/9/2014 THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM STILL EXIST . He didpay $1.200.00 as a down payment and [redacted] financed the balance of the purchase.On or about April I 0, 2014 Mr.[redacted] brought the car to us and we diagnosed that the timingbelt tensioner failed and that caused the timing belt to get "off track". This vehicle has a "noninterference" motor that requires rebuilding or replacing the cylinder head after timing belt hasfailed and subsequent damage. We did the agreed upon work, for the total price of $800.00 plustax. Mr.[redacted] paid that $800.00. On or about June 20, 2014Mr.[redacted] brought the vehicle back to us and he informed us that thevehicle had been "messed with". Our examination revealed the bottom radiator hose had beenpunctured. We replaced that hose. That did not fix the problem, we suggested that the car hadoverheated from the punctured hose and most likely the cylinder head had warped and we offeredto replace the cylinder head.We did replace the cylinder head three different times and certain other parts; however, thatproved to be not atotal fix. We were charging Mr.[redacted] $750.00 for this latest work and hehas paid part of that ($400.00). Mr.[redacted] sought advice from another mechanic and he broughta mechanic to [redacted] and there was discussion. The consensus seems to be, that theproblem may be at the bottom half of the engine (engine block).We, [redacted], have spent substantial amount of labor time trying to repair Mr.[redacted]'s car after it had been sabotaged ("messed with") even though we were not successful.We suggested to Mr.[redacted] that we would provide the labor if he would provide the part tototally replace the engine or any parts thereof.We, [redacted], performed work at very reasonable prices right up to the point when wewere called upon to remediate damage caused by deliberate action ("messed with"), and that hasproven problematic
