RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I did book two rooms by phone, but was not told they were lakefront. Those rooms smell of mold and I have allergies to mold, and would not have made the reservations. I also asked if we could bring dogs, since we always had under the previous ownership. No mention was made about the charge, but when I settled the bill before leaving, they also did not include it or say anything about it. The dogs did not run loose. We were in the first cabin by the road and the kids accidentally let our dog out one time. She ran in the street and almost got hit. Dogs do not wear leashes in the house, so she did not have it on at that moment. ***’s daughter stayed with us on Friday night. She and my other granddaughter walked to the motel room where [redacted] had stayed Friday night to get her clothes so she could dress to go to the park. Someone in the office did tell me that my 2 granddaughters walked into a motel room while it was being cleaned. It happened because [redacted] had already been moved and we did not know yet. That was the only time the kids were not with an adult. We were afraid of what might happen to them if they were out alone. The Summer Haven employees sit outside the office and drink and smoke all night. We don’t know them so we kept the kids close. ***’s call to the owner about the tv was around 11:00 p.m., not 3:30 a.m. There was hot water Saturday because [redacted] lit the pilot so they could shower. As I explained, no rules or rates are posted, so it is at their discretion with each guest. I do not want anything from Summer Haven. The owner told me to stop bothering him and I am banned from the property because I dared to question his lack of making rules known to customers. I want others to be aware what can and does happen after you leave Summer Haven in regard to additional charges being added after you close out your bill. Regards, [redacted] ***

She booked to lake front rooms, one for her and one for her son [redacted], he was staying one night. When they arrived and explained that they are now raising their...

grandchildren and didn't feel comfortable on the lake front we had no problem moving them. They had two dogs that we were not told about, they were told that there is a $20.00 per day per dog charge (they were here 2 nights each). The second day the son wanted to stay another night they were told that he would have to move to a different room due to the one he was in was reserved for that day he got mad but moved anyway. The two dogs were just let run loose when ask to put them on leashes please due to other guest not wanting them coming in theirs rooms and cottages they got very mad. The grandchildren ran wild running in and out of other guest rooms and cottages. When the son called he was screaming and cusing he was told if he kept screaming we were going to hang up he didnt stop so we hung up. [redacted] the son woke the owner up at 3:00 am about the tv not working he told him he would check it in the morning when he checked it [redacted] had it on the wrong channel, they didnt say anything about the hot water until after he checked out we went and checked and there was hot water. We due have different rates. The rates for the cottages are different than the rate for a motel room due to a cottage sleeps six people and a motel will only sleep four people we also have one and two bedroom lake front apartments and two big houses.
