[redacted] backed our campaign on Kickstarter in December 2015 to assist with producing a new line of eyewear. Kickstarter is very clear about their terms which can be found here: [redacted] and it clearly states that there are no refunds. Kickstarter is not...

a store. It is a platform to assist start-ups to connect with people who would like to contribute money to a new project or idea. There is no guarantee that a product will actually be produced. The good news is that our campaign was successful and that our glasses were indeed produced. Kickstarter does require us to manage the distribution of our Kickstarter backed products through their site. [redacted] has not yet responded to the Kickstarter campaign backer information request to choose which of three different versions of the Titanium frames that he wants. We are happy to send him the Cooper frames that he requested when he emailed us directly. The reason we haven't yet sent him the glasses was the last email we received from him was questions about prescription lenses and he did not respond to our answers about the prescription lens options we offer. As to the prescription lenses, we outsource this and we were very clear on the Kickstarter campaign that while the glasses in the campaign were all prescription compatible, they would have to be purchased at an additional cost, either through the Flying Eyes website, or through Mr. [redacted]'s own optician. Lastly, the amount that Mr. [redacted] paid during the Kickstarter campaign was $229 + $10 shipping. I am including the email thread from our Customer Support as well as a screen capture of what Mr. [redacted] contributed on Kickstarter. Bear in mind that we currently sell these same glasses on our main company website for $269 + $12 shipping. The Kickstarter campaign offered a nice discount in return for contributing to the campaign to have the glasses produced in the first place. We are still more than happy to send Mr. [redacted] the Cooper frames with the standard gray tint lenses. We can do so right away if he desires. They have been on the market and available since last August.
