Theft of property, habitual business practice according to multiple people experiencing this issue with the owner.
As with several other reviews that I unfortunately did not read until after my experience, they basically stole my items. I dropped off a large box of all brand new boutique items, on Tuesday 3/26, signed their contract as I listened with faith & trust to the owner tell me "you can come back tomorrow for your offer" I returned a little more than 24 hours later on Wednesday 3/27, she has my things in a basket on the shelf behind her and says "oh, you have to wait for the text", I smile and thank her and stupidly left. I waited the remainder of the week without having received a text and returned to her store on Monday, 4/1 to check on things. There were other customers so I browsed and shopped while waiting to speak with her. As I was browsing I saw several of my items sitting on the shelves for sale.
When I went to the register to ask about my offer she pulled my contract and offered me $25 cash or $31 credit for well over $400 worth of brand new boutique car seat covers, nursing covers, gowns, mobi wrap, Sophie the giraffe teethers, etc. when I asked fir my things back rather than accepting the ridiculous offer, I was told that I couldn't have them BC I had waited too long and per the contract I had agreed to this. She claims to have sent me a text, which low and behold, I never received, she Blaine's it on spam filters or settings on my phone. Funny how I receive everything else, but not their text. This store is operating on a scam mentality and I hope that she goes out of business for poor business practices. I repeatedly asked for my items back and told her they were sitting all around the store and that I had pictures of everything that I had dropped off. I was then asked to leave the store before she called the police. This is the worst excuse for customer service. She is staying in business by operating like a donation center and receiving her products at no cost. As I was asked to leave of course no money was handed to me.

Desired Outcome

I want my items returned to me, I have pictures of all items left in her possession. Please, review other reviews posted on *** regarding same/similar situations with multiple people.

Thank you for your feedback, ***. Please see the attached signed buying agreement that you read and signed at drop off on 3-26-19 stating that you "understand that I will return for my offer and/or unsold items within 48 hours, at which time I will be issued store credit for any sold items and unsold items become property of Summer Kids and will no longer be available for pick up...it is my responsibility to return tomorrow for my cash and unsold items."

Please see the attached confirmation that a courtesy text was sent to the phone number provided, as was shown to you on Monday 4/1 when you returned 6 days later.

Please see the PICK UP DATE as filled in and verbally told that you had to pick up before close at 6pm on 3/28.

Please see the attached security feed of when you *** and ripped the paper from my hands, at which time you were asked to leave and escorted off the property before your behavior escalated any further.

I cannot store any unsold items beyond the 48 hour grace period as outlined in the buying agreement you signed. As a courtesy, you were offered to cash out your account but declined.

Per the agreement you signed, your items have been sold and are no longer available for pick up.

I returned to the store on 3/27/19, (the day after dropping off my items) at approximately 1pm CST, at which time my items were still in a basket, unprocessed for an offer, I was verbally told by the store owner "you have to wait for a text". No time frame was stated, I gave the owner consideration of being busy and waited for my text that was never received. Perhaps there are technology issues with her program considering the number of reports of customers in her store not receiving said text. The still shot from the security camera zeroes in on a brief moment following several minutes of me trying to reason with *** The statement of me ***, was one word, one single word after she had repeatedly waved this contract around and refusing to acknowledge her word.

Please see the buying agreement you signed on 3/26 states that states all courtesy texts are sent by 3pm, at which time you should return for your offer and/or unsold items (after 3pm) whether or not you received a courtesy text.

Please see the attached video of When your behavior began to escalate with*** physical violence and you were asked to leave immediately. The paper was on my counter the entire time, except for when you took it from me and took a photo with your phone, as well as when you snatched it from my hands.

Please see the attached buying agreement you filled out, read and signed on 3/26 that states the items you left after 48+ hours have been sold, and are no longer available to pick up.

I strive to avoid anyone not returning by making the buying agreement simple and straightforward, and by verbally telling every customer that they must return before the 48 hours, specifying a written pick up date. Thank you for taking the time to provide me with your feedback.

They have great deals, perfect for anyone with kids. The staff is friendly and will help you find what you are looking for. Pleasantly surprised by the selection of clothes, toys, and equipment they carry. They even have a play area for your kids while you shop!
