Thank you for sending us the complaint so we could address the perceived problems the guest believed they encountered.

Our answer to these allegations is that they are half –truths and lies motivated by money.

We addressed the lock snafu in the last letter. Within 15 minutes...

of Ace Hardware opening, we had the lock ready to replace. He did NOT want us entering the Cottage and told our guy that he would do it himself and we provided him with the tools.

At NO time was an “air purifier” mentioned.  At NO time was a “lung inflammation” mentioned. In the SEVERAL times this woman has visited the Farm, she has been very, very verbal about her many ailments and NOT ONCE has allergies or “lung inflammation” been mentioned. Again, Steve, a Respiratory Therapist challenges their claim of “lung inflammation” and as a professional he would dispute their claim on visualization only, as it takes a trained professional to diagnose such a claim.

The trap was fixed in a timely manner. We are a small town, far from a large city. After a 100 mile round trip to Flagstaff, the trap was fixed. Yes, our contract asks the guest to immediately inform us of problems. Not once did they tell us the Cottage was dirty. I clean that Cottage MYSELF and have NEVER had a complaint. I will reiterate, we are a 150 year old WORKING FARM, dust and pollen HAPPEN and they had TWO DOGS.  On each day of their visit a ‘new” problem arose, and on each day, we addressed their concerns. In our opinion only, they were setting us up and this is a regular occurrence (related to all of us by HIM) for her to be dissatisfied, get her money back and move to another place. Again, in our opinion this may be the way they travel and save money.  It seems that we proud Arizonans were the only ones to stand up to them.

This person has contacted our Town over and over again to complain; our Town has inspected the property and found their claims to be unwarranted.

*Side note….on the Farm, “air purifier” is an open window and a fan, both of which are available in the Cottage.
