Summerstone Nursery

I wish I'd read the reviews of others before buying from this nursery And, unfortunately, I threw away the packaging the plants came in so I doubt there's any recourse for me The extremely small plants looked dead when I received them but I planted them anyway I was very careful to choose the correct location for sun, soil, etc I gave them a good start with compost, water, etc- all the measures I've used successfully with plants in the past None of my efforts, however, raised those plants from the dead DO NOT buy from this nursery You're wasting your money There are other online nurseries that will send you healthy, good-sized plants

Do not waste your money with this company I received my trees all dried like kiln fired lumber I soaked them for hours prior to planting but you can't revive dead twigs I have ordered from many other nurseries and never had a problem with bare root trees I strongly suggest you do not order from this company

I placed an order for cone flowers spring 2016, and still have been put off, disconnected, and lied to by the bogus employees at Summerstone NurseryDon't place any orders online or this fraudulent company will keep your moneyWhen you ask about your online order, they will tell you the item is not in stock, and they will send it next season

Totally negative experienceMade a $telephone order from the Summerstone mail catalog in Spring Was to have received an email with shipping and receipt date, but that never cameReceived the package early May, put sticks in water overnight and planted them carefully next dayNever a sign of life on any itemEmails and calls to Summerstone were never answeredDead loss

This company is a website full of LIES! I bought rose bushes, all supposed to be different types of climbing roses for a very thought out and well designed area of my yard I carefully researched each type of rose so I could make it all the way I wanted it I got the roses, planted them and when they bloomed they were ALL PURPLE! [redacted] Every rose had a different label on it: "fourth of july rose, america rose," etc, but they were all LIES! Now I have seven purple rose bushes in my yard and none of the other types I ordered and I'm pissed I did a lot of grunt work digging up the soil for this FRAUD DON'T BUY FROM THESE LYING SCAMMERS!

I placed an order with them and since my order was taking too long I decided to call backI could never get a hold of anyone so I thought it was a scamI even alerted my bank but withdrew my complaint when I received my order in the mailPlants were all alive and are doing greatPrices were also very goodIt's just the customer service that was awful

I been purchasing fruit trees now from summer stone nursery since I always pick best time for shippingI haven't had any problems so far with themFrom all my orders I had one cherry tree die, out treesI recommend them to any one they are definitely the cheapest place in the Web to buy trees

I placed an order in May (2016) and as of Dec I still hadn't received my orderI contacted them twice and was told they were back logged and they would fill the order ASAPAt no point did they contact me about delays or issuesI had to initiate all correspondenceOn a to scale, I would give them a -since I have had to do all the workI do not recommend this company!!!!!!! I had hoped to plant my order this past spring - now I will be a year out do to there negligence and poor business model

Wish I would have read these reviews before ordering from this company I recieved a box of dead trees, looked like a bunch of sticks I could use for kindling for my firepit None of the trees or bushes I planted grew Also had two items on back order and it's been months since I placed the order They had no problem taking my money Sure they have a gaurantee that if I send the dead plants back they would send me new ones...I have no desire to spend money on shipping to have more dead plants sent to me - DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

2-7- Just received my order from Summerstone this morningI opened it up expecting 3-ftbushes and trees as ordered, but the longest one in the bunch was only inches longTwo of the trees had been ripped out of the ground and didn't have any roots on them at all This is a rip off company and wouldn't recommend them to anyone I have no recourse, for they charged my credit card on the day I ordered itThe trees and bushes came a month later

I ordered roses bushes in April and when May came and they still weren't here I called and was told they would be shipped at the proper planting timeWhen they finally arrived they were a just dead sticksWe planted them and they never grew so I called the company and they sent out new onesof the took but they are all the same color, not different colors like I had orderedThis company is a scam

I filed orders with Both arrived in great conditionThe free items were shipped together with the trees at the rootsGreat care was taken with the root system so they would not dry out I have read other reviews and think that what has happened is that the dry or dead twigs are either the free items or small trees 1-footWhen a small tree is sent the way Summerstone ships them the trees are asleepThey look dead but they are notI got black hawk raspberry free they were small look like dead twigs but in fact were in sleep mode roots were still moist next to the trees soaked roots before plantingI kept in contact with Summerstone who emailed me when shipment was completeIt is hard to tell when items will arrive because of method of transitI got 4-fttrees which is what most orders should beWhen you get smaller trees you take the chance of them drying or getting damaged in transitI spent and All items arrived in a long box with the root system rapped in paper then plastic which keep the roots from drying outI contacted my post office to let me know when shipment arrived so that the trees would not be setting there drying out but that I could get them in the ground faster

Terrible product and Terrible Service I ordered about different fruit trees and ornamentals last year in April The trees didn't arrive until late June and they were in terrible condition Only of the trees survived I've called & emailed numerous times of the past months with no results In April of I returned all the dead tree's and here it is June 2016, which is very late in the Michigan planting season and still no replacement Their guarantee of replacing failed trees is apparently a joke and I wouldn't recommend buying anything from them $down the toilet

Unfortunately, I've placed an order with Summerstone nursery without prior knowledge about their reputationOrder was placed on April 21st, and payment made with credit card was processed immediately, yet the only information I got in return was an email that contained an order numberIt was weeks, and checked company website again to see if I will be able to check the order statusThere are absolutely no links that might indicate any level of customer service and consumer protection compliance - no FAQ, no my orders - nothingAfter I made a very basic internet search, I came across an pdf file that contained materials of a law suit against Summerstone nurseryTN court have ordered to provide customers with an adequate information, thus, it was ordered to establish a toll-free phone numberYet when i've called the company - it was still a phone number with a TN area code, very rude lady on the other end told me that the order won't be shipped at least until the end of the month, and when I've asked about a toll-free number and mentioned a court order, I was told (in a very rapid manner!) that my order will be cancelledI will wait for weeks exactly, and if the refund won't be processed at that time, I will involve my bank for funds recovery and will submit a complaint against this company

I had a very positive experience with Summerstone Nursery I ordered a rose bush (bare root) and it arrived well-packed and hydrated I put it in a pot and it is growing now and buds are coming outI received an email when the plant was shipped and soon received my rose bush

Back ground Have worked in nurseries in my youth Order products from major online nurseries for trees, flowers and seeds Located in a remote area that does not have local nurseries Found some vines in flyer that we were interested in with a very low price Ordered three with a specific ship date After ordering read Revdex.com review Oh no..! Plants were delivered by USPS as directed by shipping instruction, in a dry root dormancy state Plants were will rooted, stems green with evidence of prior leaves Received four plants instead of the three we ordered Pro's very low price - Good plant quality Con's Roots could have been wrapped in moisture material Phone support poor Overall experience Happy, Happy, Happy...!

Never received my order, company does not respond to my corespondance attempts

ordered several trees on 11/11/15, just rec'd a box full of dead sticks I also ordered on 11/12/have yet to rec'd that order...here's the kicker...they are only miles away from my house....could have drove up there and got them quicker than they ship! if you're thinking of ordering from these folks just go to the bathroom and wipe your rearend with the money then flush the money down the toilet...it's the same thing as dealing with these folks! heed my word...DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUISNESS!!!
