Per the prior residents complaint that the security deposit was held due to a pest control treatment we would like to respond with the reasons that this specific...

deposit was not returned, which do not include the pest control treatments. During the month prior to move out, the resident received a returned payment that was never replaced, the pro-rated rent for the month that the resident moved out was also never remitted, and utilities for the final month were not paid. This balance was paid mostly by the security deposit on hand, and the additional balance that was sent to collections included a small portion of the unpaid rent balances and the fee for the pest control service. As per NC Law a Statement of Deposit Accounting was sent to the forwarding address which prompted a phone conversation between the prior resident and myself, the community manager. I explained the reasoning for the balance and the conversation ended.  The following week a negative review was posted to social media that was again addressed by asking the resident to stop by the office or to give us a call at their convenience if there were additional question and to gain an understanding on the balance. No further communication took place from June until our office received the complaint from your office. We would ask that you remove the negative complaint as it is a false perception of our company standards and policies.
