Summit At Avent Ferry Reviews (2)

To Whom it May Concern,I am writing this letter to make a formal complaint against my current apartment complex The Summit at Avent Ferry, managed by [redacted] Property management. I contacted my apartment management on 6/27/2014 about a massive leak in my bathroom that flooded in to the beginning of my hall. The maintenance man came to my apartment and stuck a bucket as a quick fix. I am a registered nurse and work night shift, I came back to my apartment the following morning and my apartment was flooded again. After several calls, the maintenance men came and drilled a huge hole in my ceiling and found the leak from the apartment above. The leak was fixed. However, the hole in the ceiling and the mess from the maintenance men was left. I contacted my apartment for several days and explained that this was unacceptable. I live in a one bedroom apartment and my bathroom was unusable. One of the management personnel came and observed what a mess was left at my apartment and said it would be fixed by Saturday July 5th. Saturday came and gone and I saw no one and the hole still exists, as well as the mildew smell.I have contacted my apartment numerous times about an update to when the ceiling would be fixed and have received no phone calls back. I have also contacted the customer service number for [redacted] properties and no one has called me back. This is unacceptable and now an unsafe environment. There is no telling if there is now mold due to the flooding on the walls and ceiling. This is my last hope to get something done at my apartment.Sincerely,[redacted] ncXXXXXXXXXXI also have photos of the flooding, if needed.Desired SettlementI have contacted my apartment numerous times about an update to when the ceiling would be fixed and have received no phone calls back. Business Response The situation at this apartment was that there was a leak from the apartment above. I spoke the resident as well as my maintenance team and explained to her that yes there was big open hole in her ceiling but until it was dry we were not able to have it repaired. The following week we put up new sheetrock and painted. This work ordered as been competed and the resident has moved out. Thanks,[redacted]

The leasing manager has refused to refund 3 day's rent and this type conduct appears to be a business practice to avoid paying refunds. I am writing to enlist assistance in recovering $70.83 from Summit Apartments located at 1025 Avent Hill, Raleigh, NC XXXXX, after vacating July 1. I have attached the Summit's deposit reimbursement statement, charging rent on July 31 for $23.61. Attached is bank statement confirming check for July's rent in the amount of $735 was cashed on July 9th. Because the apartment was leased starting July 30th, $47.22 should be reimbursed for the two days. Your assistance and guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated and hopefully help in discouraging this type of business practice.Desired SettlementI would appreciate 3-day,s rent in the of $70.83. Business Response After reviewing the statement fd deposit with the resident,an error was found and the resident was issued a second refund for the agreed upon amount of $47.40. The amount was decided upon per the resident's dispute over rent charges for two days at the end of the month of July. This check was issued in October and satisfied the error in the number of days the resident was charged. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me at XXX-XXX-XXXX or via email at [redacted].comThank you, [redacted]Community ManagerThe Summit At Avent Ferry Apartment HomesConsumer Response I never received the check for $47.40, which they agreed. I reiterated to manager that it was for 3 days rent and is clearly verified in documentation. If I must compromise, send me $47.40 to: Ms. [redacted], [redacted] NC XXXXX. Kind regards,Ms. [redacted]
