I used Summit Automotive Group to fix a flat tire for a carAfter leaving the tire for hours they did notify me that it was ready to be picked up I was told that the tire had a wire in it and that they patched the tire and I was good to go When I got home to put the tire back on the vehicle I saw that the tire was plugged and not patched This is very poor business ethics To make matters worse the plug didn't hold and the tire was flat again after just hrs I would not recommend doing business with this business in Silverthorn Colorado

Chris the Manager at Summit Auto Group there in Silverthorne CO is dishonest and rude to his customers while overcharging for the services they provide there.
This past Friday, July 29, 2016, my daughter was stranded on I 70 near Silverthorne. She contacted our insurance provider, USAA, which towed her to this place of business, which I might add, their website claims it deals with its customers with "honestly and integrity". Chris the manager was rude to her from the start with everything he said to her about what the process would entail in diagnosing her issue. Turns out, she needed a new battery and told her the cost of a new one would be ......$258!!!! She phoned me asking if that was a good price for a battery and of course it isn't so I spoke with him via her phone requesting to know why he was attempting to take advantage of a woman that was stranded knowing she really had no other options. This is where Chris lies to us again, informing me that since her car was a VW it "takes a rare and special battery for her European made car!" and "you are lucky they even have one for her here in this town, otherwise she would be stuck here all weekend until Monday." Luckily for me, he had told me which parts house he was getting the battery from and since I thought his story smelled like fish, I contacted [redacted] only to find out the ACTUAL cost of her battery was $155 and their had four left in stock! I further contacted 2 other local auto parts houses and they prices ranged from $150-$158 with plenty of batteries in stock. Such a "rare and special battery" right?? Of course I was upset with him so I called Chris back asking for her money refund for his dishonesty and he so rudely screams at me "I can charge for a battery what I want to" and hangs up on me. My daughter phones me right at this same time and after informing her of his dishonesty, she returns to the store asking for a refund of his overcharges to her to which he rudely and loudly screams at her in front of a waiting room full of customers stating he was right, she was wrong, and for her to leave the store. Obviously my insurance company has now taken them off of their referral list as they do not refer to dishonest companies.

The main manager there, Chris, is a jerk. He LIED to me about how much a new car battery would be. Literally, he said the price of my particular battery was "more expensive because it is a European car" TOTAL LIE! We called the part place he got the replaced battery from and he charged $100 dollars over what it cost! If you are looking to get taken advantage of and cheated out of your money then go to Chris! Even when I called him out on lying to me, he tried to cover it up saying that it was his "installation fee". Who charges $100 dollars to put a battery in? A dirty cheat does. I don't ever recommend this place to anyone.
