I received the above complaint and responded via e-mail on November 4,
Thank you for calling
my office yesterday to say you did not receive any response from my officeTherefore, I am sending this via E-mail
Please note the following events regarding this case:
1/26/2015, *** *** called our office to come and pump her septic tankShe said she knew where the septic tank was located in her yard
We was unable to locate the septic tank, as it was covered with snow and after spending several minutes searching, the serviceman was unable to find her septic tank or septic lid
We did not charge her any service call fee
1/30/2015, we sent our crew to her property to dig up septic line from house to to find septic lid with our mini-excavatorCharged $for this service The excavated line was backfilled and graded
1/30/2015, sent the septic pump truck to pump out the septic from the opened septic tankCharged $for this service
This completed job and *** was extremely happy with our service and the cost
*** called our office and had questions about the area that was excavatedJim E***, service manager, visited the site
*** was informed that we are not "landscapers" and we do not plant grassCustomers are informed that the excavated area will
settle before homeowners should seed the area
We did not remove any dirt/topsoil from her property -- it's all there
I am sorry for any misunderstanding *** ***s may haveWe are compassionate and understood she was in a bad situation in January and could not use her toiletShe hired us to fix her problemShe was happy with our services and the price we charged
This job is completeOur suggestions is, she hire a landscaper to hand-rake the area and plant grass seed in the spring
We have been in business since and strive to make all our customers happy, as you can see, there are very rarely any dissatisfied customers in all these plus years in business

A majority of their statement is correct, but!! In the first call early Spring, why did they tell me it is to early to work in the yard because it is to softAfter waiting several months and not hearing from them I called again and the scheduler said he'd send crew outAgain never showed up
They knew the surgery I had was very serious and I would become handicap from a rare bone diseaseI felt they were accommodating me for my illness and live aloneThis whole situation (as noted before) was my pipes got clogged and backed up into my bath and basementIn a stressful situation at that time I needed to handle the pipes because my surgery was just a few days awayI had to fix pipes, and have the insurance company come and clean and disinfect the house before I leftThe service scheduler kept telling me he'd (or staff) would be there, numerous calls were made""Yes, he did say we do not landscape the yard, but I said you already told me you'd be here to fill equipment ruts and fill small holesI also conveyed I would use my own grass seed and his reply was they don't seed anyway
I don't understand after my last communication with him he said he'd be out!!!!!!and he did come out and said he would send someone out ""but he had no top soil, but he'd bring dirt""Never showed again
Spending a majority of time in bed, I am able to see my street and this supervisor drove by my house this week on 12/1/in early afternoonWhy!!!!
This area is so small it would only take maybe min to handle the areaThey are not a company I would recommend to anyone, because they don't follow thru with their verbal commitmentsBusiness is built on honor and Summit Excavating is far for honorable

We have met with Ms*** and are currently working through the issues with her vehicle

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Summit Excavating was hired by the previous owner of [redacted] to replace septic system, which was completed and approved. Previous owner was aware that we would send dozer to final grade excavated area after it has settle satisfactory. ...

This is a FREE service and due to rainy season, and work schedule the final grade was delayed. The final graded was completed Friday, 8/28,2015 for the current owner. No charges were incurred. This job is complete.
