Dear Representative,
On 1-22-14, *** *** was given an auto insurance quote by one of our representatives
Our representative explained the costs and the coverages to her and she texted him her
authorization to bind the policy with the insurance company and charge her credit cardWhen
the agent emailed her out the application to sign, she decided she no longer wanted the policy
and refused to sign the applicationShe did not give a reason or state any type of problem
Due to the fact an insurance policy was bound on her behalf, the representative had to take
steps to void the policy and request our funds be returned to our officeOnce the insurance
policy was cancelled and we were advised that our funds would be returned to us, we issued a
full refund to ***' credit card
Therefore, the policy is voided and no coverages afforded and all monies have been refunded
Sincerely,

Dear Representative,
On 1-22-14, [redacted] was given an auto insurance quote by one of our representatives. Our representative explained the costs and the coverages to her and she texted him her authorization to bind the policy with the insurance company and charge her credit card. When the agent emailed her out the application to sign, she decided she no longer wanted the policy and refused to sign the application. She did not give a reason or state any type of problem.
Due to the fact an insurance policy was bound on her behalf, the representative had to take steps to void the insurance policy and request our funds be returned to our office. Once the insurance policy was cancelled and we were advised that our funds would be returned to us, we issued a full refund to [redacted]. [redacted]' credit card.
Therefore, the policy is voided and no coverages afforded. All charges ($299.00) were refunded on 2-3-14 back to her credit card. The customer has been advised of the refund.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I was never refunded the amount of $299 back to my checking account. Wells Fargo bank has given me a provisional amount until Summit General Insurance refunds my money back. I am still waiting for the refund.
Regards,
[redacted]
Review: I didn't sign any papers, but I authorized a payment. However, when they sent me the e-documents, I noticed some things were missing, and they didn't seem professional. I told them I wanted to cancel the policy, and their manager stated I had to sign the documents before processing a cancellation. I refused, and they kept pressing me to sign everything. So I contacted my bank to try to stop the payment since the company would not cooperate. Now, I keep getting calls and texts from them, but I am only contacting via email for paper trail.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the full amount of $299 into my bank account, and I would like all information deleted, shredded. I no longer want to receive calls or texts from this company.
