It is unfortunate that such events occur while living in a community environmentHowever, the on-site staff under my guidance took every measure available to them under the confines of the law to rectify the situation for Mr [redacted] and his family once the violation was reported What Mr [redacted] neglected to disclose is that on June 6th, he and I had a conversation prior to his notice to vacate whereby I informed him that his neighbor had moved out after a successful eviction processMr [redacted] replied that he had already put down a deposit on another apartment and would be moving outI offered to refund the deposit he paid to the other community so that he could fulfill the terms of his leaseHe refused and replied that it was a house, to which I replied that I would be happy to reimburse funds and speak with the landlord for himHe then replied that he had already given notice to his work because they were moving out of stateIt appears that the neighbor may have been a convenient excuse for breaking the lease since Mr [redacted] blocked every effort to resolve the issue We believe that we did all that was possible to reach a positive outcomeWe will not waive the lease break fee

It is unfortunate that Mr*** has resorted to calling our employees namesOur decision was based on facts not personal opinionMr*** singed a lease for a stated period of timeHe did not fulfill his obligation, nor did he state all the factsThree office employees were very aware of this situation and all were under the impression that a transfer was requested after finding out they were expecting a child, not because of their neighborIt is our policy not to transfer residents in the middle of a lease but rather move them to another apartment at the end of their leaseIt was then understood by the office staff that they had decided to move in with parents to save money for the new baby
Our decision stands and we feel there is no need for further discussion

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I do not believe everything possible was done to have provided the best outcome we already had everything set to move and had given our notice by the time the other tenants vacated plus that does not fix the countless lies from Leilani and being told we couldn't transfer to the same size apartment due to the health hazards having a living space be uninhabitable is unacceptable and the business has to be held accountablefor their auctions I am trying to take all steps necessary to make this as easy for both parties as possibleYour management needs to be held accountable for her actions as well I will still pursue a refund and if I have to take further auction I will be asking for months of rent back where we were unable to live in the apartment due to health risks.
