The GBS protection plan is a great insurance, however,   no insurance covers "everything."    The terms and conditions for the GBS plan is available throughout our showroom, as well as on line for specific information. As far as the claim,  we have no request for a...

copy of any ticket.    What we do have is an approval from GBS for a replacement, however we have no stock available for the replacement and the customer should be able to go into our store and reselect.   The store has already been notified and the customer can go in this weekend.Should the customer have any questions, they can call [redacted] and select the menu option for WARRANTY.thank you!

This furniture was just purchased the end of March.  We contacted The Dump the end of July that it was already following apart. This "assessment" of the furniture took over a month to complete the first time a company was sent out.  The response that the furniture is overused is a confusing statement.  We purchased a reclining sofa and love seat for the purpose of sitting on it, and occasionally, reclining it.  We both work full-time, and live active lifestyles with our children, so the couches are used for the purpose of sitting on, only about 2-3 hours a day.  For the mechanism to crush in on both ends of the couch and love seat, is not from being over used, it is from poorly made furniture.  If you review the report from the second furniture company that came out under the [redacted] warranty, they stated the furniture was not built for use- which is a polite way of saying it is garbage.  Unfortunately, we paid $2657 for this furniture.  As you can see from the pictures attached, not only has it fallen apart from the reclining mechanisms caving in, all the "leather"- which was sold as Italian Leather- is actual vinyl- has not only separated at all the seams from the arm rests, but at every section on the inside where the two seats meet.  We were originally told in August the furniture would be fixed by the manufacturer.  Then, when that didn't happen we had to start the process all over because we purchased an extended warranty from [redacted].  At the store, when we spoke with a sales manager, Jason D[redacted], we were told once the open claim with [redacted] was resolved, the Dump would try to exchange this damaged furniture for another set, and he even had us pick out another set in November.  [redacted] refuses responsibility for the damage since the issues with the furniture were not covered under the warranty, and stated should be covered by the store since it was less than a year since purchase. This furniture started falling apart within 2-3 months of purchase, not because we sat on it too much, because it was poorly made.  We have tried to work with the store, and were even going to accept an exchange in November, but the Dump is no longer even offering that. If they are not willing to return the $2657 we paid for the furniture, our resolution will be to file the claim we have already started with the Maricopa County Small Claims Court.  The furniture is not repairable, which the Dump knows because they sent out two different "third party" furniture repair companies to see that is beyond repair.  We have been strung along by the Dump for over 6 months, and just want our money back so we can purchase furniture that we are actually able to sit on.

Greg was not a part of the original conversation my wife and I had with the sales associate, Bonnie. We were not trying to complain about her or the store, or ask for a handout. We spent lots of money at the Dump and to be treated the way my wife and I were treated is unacceptable. Calling the police because Greg didn't want to hear what a customer had to say to him was something I have never encountered my entire customer service career. We were trying to let Greg know this is what was said to us. If it was inaccurate, he should have talked to Bonnie while we were there so we could all resolve the misunderstanding. His own customer service clerk told us the dump takes money off certain items throughout the store. Greg also told us he has known Bonnie for a long time and she would never say anything like that. Not true. Bonnie told us that she just started with the Dump and came from their competitor, American Furniture Warehouse. He may not have called us "Liars", but the insinuation was there. He was so sure Bonnie would never say that, he wouldn't stop to listen to a valued customer. Someone who pays his salary. Maybe Greg should attend some sort of diversity and management training classes to learn how to talk to and treat a customer. Greg is a immoral and unethical manager and human being. All my friends, family, and neighbors know about what happened. That said, we will never shop The Dump ever again.  Mr. [redacted]
