To Whom It May Concern: On March 24, 2017 [redacted] purchased a 2009 Lexus Es350 with 98,921 miles on the vehicle from Summit View Auto. The vehicle passed New York State Inspection. [redacted] contacted Summit View Auto in April claiming to have an issue with the check engine was present....
[redacted] had several appointments with our service department in which she failed to show up for the appointments on April 3rd, April 4th and April 5th. The vehicle was brought to our service on June 30th and the check engine light was not present. [redacted] indicated that the check engine light was only present during a long trip. Unable to diagnose a intermit issue we then referred [redacted] to [redacted]. According to [redacted] indicated to her that the issue was present with the previous owner and that the vehicle was in need of a head gasket. Summit View Auto was unaware of any issues the previous owner had with the vehicle. Our intent is to sell only quality vehicles. We offered to repair the vehicle at no cost to [redacted] and provide her with a loaner vehicle.Unfortunately [redacted] has had two appointments with our service department that she failed to show up for on July 7th and July 10th. It is impossible for us to rectify this issue without the cooperation of the customer.
