See attached video, it speaks for itself.Desired Settlementneed a refundBusiness Response While we do our best to keep up to date on all construction in the area, sometimes it's not possible to anticipate every time a neighbor decides it's time for some repairs. In this case, the villa that was rented was in perfect condition. However, the neighbor decided to do some work on his property. Construction is only permitted from 8-5 weekdays and until noon on Saturdays. We did apologize for the inconvenience and also offered a complimentary free night as well as some spa services on a subsequent stay. The first we heard of this was April 10th which was a few days after their departure. If they would have let us know we could have made arrangements to move them. Sadly, we just did not know there was a problem until after the fact. The rental agreement they signed was pretty clear and states that by taking possession of the property they agree to the adequacy and sufficiency of the property and any deficiencies.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I complained to their staff at the villa immediately once the construction happened. It was MAJOR construction. Like 30 construction guys, major equipment, cranes, dump trucks, jack hammers, many power saws, etc... it was unbearable. We had to leave the property during the day because it was so disruptive. I would like to upload the video, it speaks volumes. They also have false advertising on their web site... it says they are "proud members of [redacted]". I contacted [redacted] and they said they are NOT members and are illegally using the logo on their web site. I can forward the email from [redacted]. It is all about "trust us" we are experts and know the properties and take care of our high end clientele bla bla bla They don't want to accept responsibility for the issue when they clearly should have know there was major construction going on and disclosed it prior to booking. We would definitely not have booked that home and wasted our vacation time at a property in a major construction zone. A "sorry, your out of luck"?Final Business Response Unfortunately, the customer did not notify us until after departure. Had we known, we could have tried to make alternative arrangements. Our concierge did stop by on a regular basis, but no mention of wanting to be moved was made. In fact, we heard nothing until 2 days post departure at which point it was too late to move the customer. We did speak to the owner and he offered the customer was offered 1 night complementary stay in addition to some complimentary Spa Services, but because they stayed for the entire duration of the trip no refunds can be made. Customer also signed and agreed to the following in his rental contract. CONDITION OF PROPERTY - The renter and the guests, by taking possession of the property accommodation, agree to the adequacy and sufficiency of such accommodation for the purposes of their rental accommodation pursuant to the terms of this Agreement...Regretfully, we have tried to resolve this matter with the customer, however we cannot offer any cash refunds for a villa that was fully utilized for the entire stay.
