I just went through the worst moving experience possible.
pre-move: I was asked was it okay to come over to my home to prepack. Two people came to my home to pack my china and the contents of my china cabinets. I watched them at first and realized they were moving slowly but everyone was laughing and I was told they would pack the rest of my things I needed on moving day.
moving day: They sent no packer and I packed boxes the entire
day myself. The three men who were there kept arguing the entire time they were putting my things on the trucks. By the time the got to my new home they asked if they could leave the truck in my driveway overnight.
It took four days of my time, by the third day I was driving back and forth loading my own vehicle. The first check we gave them had a five day hold on it and apparently interrupted his finances.
I was told from now on I would have to pay cash. I finally got my bed off the truck so I could sleep in my new home.
On the last day they hi-jacked my truck because I told them I could only pay partial cash and a check. I was accused of having a bad check, because I told him I needed to post date it. My husband I and told them keep the truck we had had it.
Obviously, I could write a short story on this whole experience but I won't. The cost of my move was estimated way off target, This would not have taken so long with a full crew. In this state I don't think they did anything illegal just immoral.

Family run moving company and really went out of their way to make our moving day go smoothly.

They let us use wardrobe free of charge and the manager was very helpful in helping out.

Its nice to know there are still good companies that don't rip you off.
