Sun Plumbing did all or the work when our home was built in 1987. They have provided excellent service over the years; always prompt, reliable, professional, courteous, and friendly, regardless if its a big job or something small.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, provided that the reimbursement happens.  I do not agree with his suggestion that he did not get enough or proper notice.  If he would have done the job correctly from the outset, all of this would have been avoided.[redacted]

I am both surprised and humored by the response submitted by Sun Plumbing. Mr. [redacted] has a confused version of the facts of this matter and is making things up.
The water heater installation took place on February 18, 2014 a Tuesday- not on a weekend. This can be confirmed on the Sun Plumbing invoice that I submitted with my original complaint. I can send another copy if required. The issue was never a shortage of hot water heater was leaking. The installation took place on a normal workday as I worked at home that day due to the installation. The City of Roseville that could have issued the permit was open. Additionally, when [redacted] acquired he permit, it was done on-line without visiting the City at all.
I phoned Sun Plumbing in mid-October 2014 following my tenants having moved out as the house was intended to be sold. The difficulties with the water heater installation were pointed out by a Realtor with whom the house was intended to be sold. The corrections that were needed were then discussed with Mr. [redacted] who indicated that he would call me back in the next day or so. I never heard from him again.
Escrow was opened for sale of the home on November 28, 2014. I was then anxious to have the water heater taken care of so that sale of the house was not held up. I called [redacted] and they came and addressed the needed corrections on December 4 , 2014.
To this day, I have not heard from Mr. [redacted] or anyone representing Sun Plumbing.
I remain unhappy with the behavior of Mr. [redacted]/Sun Plumbing as this whole issue could have been taken care of if either he had taken the right steps at the outset or if he had responded to my request in October that he make the necessary corrections. He did neither.
It is my understanding that the issue of obtaining a permit is being addressed by the Contractors State License Board pursuant to a separate complaint filed with that agency. A copy of this complaint was included in my January 29,2015 letter to your office, though I can send another copy if needed.
I incurred substantial cost in this matter (593.89) due to the business practice of Mr. [redacted]/Sun Plumbing which additional cost should be paid back to me.Anything that your agency can do to assist in this matter will be appreciated.

Review: A water heater was replaced, the work was completed without a required building permit, the work was done in a manner that did not comply with code requirements and efforts to allow these issues to be corrected were not responded to.Desired Settlement: I would like the costs of retaining an alternative plumber to correct the issues refunded to me in the amount of $593.89.

I simply informed the customer that the issues at handwould be dealt with personally and processionally by the end of the week of theoriginal call. Being that I had a heavy workload and I was handling all the issuesmyself, I should have not taken on any more work. The homeowner did not allowme the grace period that I needed to get back over to his home. The homeownertook it upon himself to hire out a second plumbing contractor to complete the workthat I was going to handle. I personally apologize to the customer, the Tennant'sand whomever was inconvenienced in this matter. I have changed my way ofhandling issues that come about as far as prioritizing customers. If an issue arises, Ihandle them first instead of continuing to take on more work. That in turn allows meto handle any issues that may arise. Thank you for your concern and patients in thismatter. I was installing a new unit because the Tennant's had been out of hotwater for some time. I was scheduled to return to complete the install and pull permitat a later date. The emergency install was to get the address going with hot water andsatisfy the customer. I became overwhelmed with jobs and was single handedlytaking care of all the calls. The paying customer had called me to remind me of thecode issues and I told him that I would be out as soon as I had a fighting chance. Myschedule was not as open as he would have liked it so the homeowner called [redacted]to complete the punch list before I could make it out there. I now control the priorityof customers as they come in. I have learned my lesson to handle first completedcustomers then move on. At the time of the call there was no way to pull thepermit..it was also a weekend. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

Review: On the weekend of January 18th, 2014 an employee of Sun Plumbing visited my home located at 64th street in Sacramento, Ca. to evaluate a clog in the sewer system. At that time, the suggestion was to install a new section of sewer line which was going to cost approximately 2,200.00. They requested, and were given check for the amount of $350.00 dated January 21st, 2014, as a deposit to begin repairs. They followed with an e-mail detailing the required repairs and scheduled a visit to the home. After visiting the home on January 24th, [redacted] (company owner) followed with a second e-mail on January 25th that stated will "change the scope of work and ultimately increase the cost of the repairs. A detailed final estimate was never sent to me, and I have not received any services towards the repairs at the home. Also, the tenants have complained that the toilet which was removed by this company during the initial evaluation now leaks. I am requesting that a complete refund of the deposit given towards repairs be refunded in full.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of the deposit for services. I have not received any services of any kind toward the repair of this issue from Sun Plumbing. I have subsequently had to find another company capable performing these repairs.

good luck getting Sun Plumbing to your house. I had to make extra phone calls to get them to schedule an appt, then they called not once but twice to reschedule. I had to go with another company that will come out tomorrow, within 24 hr of contact.
