I signed an 18-month contract that expired on November 14, 2019. I never received a copy of my contract. I was unable to take advantage of this membership due to health issues, but I paid each monthly installment on time and in full. In December 2019, without prior notification and without my knowledge, the company auto-renewed my contract, and placed a charge on my credit card on December 14, 2019. I have texted, emailed, and called the office number, asking for a copy of my contract and for a return email or phone call to discuss cancellation of this contract, as I was not expecting an 18-month auto-renewal. To date, I have not received any response. Meanwhile, the company is unfairly billing me a monthly fee of $117.00 through May 2021.

I honored my word in support of a small business in my community by fulfilling the terms of my 18-month contract. I don’t understand why *** is now attempting to force me into an auto-renewal for another 18 months, especially since I have not been to their facility in over a year. This is an unfair business practice that goes against the grain of what our community stands for.

my main concern is trying to get out of my contract due to breach. we are entitled to certified trainers. however, there are no longer any certified trainers because they have all quit. the owner of the gym doesn't seem to care about taking care of her employees or the members at her gym. when I contacted her about this she simply dismissed me and told me in order to cancel I would need to pay $250. this is not stated anywhere on my contract. I was also told that trainers have 30 days to become certified, that also isn't in our contract. she also doesn't care to add more equipment when asked to because "it won't make the gym more money."
