Be warned these people lie to you to close the deal!! Was told by loan officer and closing person that pmi would drop off @ 80/ Like most people we did not read all the fine print in the 30,closing papers Will never recommend or do business with these people (liars) again!!!!

I had a great experience with Sun West and their representatives. I had a great interest rate to start with...3.36%. After about 6 months they contacted me and offered me a 2.75% fixed interest rate. I took it. I can't imagine the odds of finding a better lender or interest rate. So, I am giving them an A+ rating.

The incompetency I have encountered with this company is laughable at times and cry able the other 99%. They make big promises, and don't follow thru. In my case promised to pay $5,000 in closing cost. As the weeks get nearer to closing I hear nothing, feel like a pest bugging them to make sure everything is on schedule. Get ignored and put off. Week of my closing comes and all the sudden they are scrambling. The California office comes up with different numbers than the Houston office (like thousands of dollars more than Houston for closing cost). The two offices obviously don't communicate what so ever. And now my closing cost is thousands of dollars higher than originally promised. They obviously cannot pay the 5k in closing cost offered and don't have the balls to tell me, keep coming up with lies. Every Time I get a document from these people I have a different number on it! I get told it's ok sign, it will be all figured out by the time closing rolls around, aka 1 business day. The latest closing cost I have gotten is still 3,000 more than promised . I then think everything is settled, I will just suffer paying the higher price because we need to close so we don't lose our house then California turns around and sends stuff at 4,000 more than that. I really have no idea what I'm walking into on closing day. Also now my closing is delayed because of their last minute preparations and scrambling. I have sellers and realtors upset with me. My only hope is once I do get my loan with this company they sell it fast!!! Stay away from these scammers!!!!!

I had a very positive experiance with Sun West Mortgage. Low interest rate. I actually suspected it was a scam due to it being so low. Regardless of what I thought, it was real and the process was easy. Time wise the loan process took longer than I had hoped and longer than the alloted time SunWest gave in the original contract. The extra time it took was neither my fault nor the fault of Sun West. Even though, the process took nearly twice as long as it should have, Sun West did NOT raise the interest rate or charge additional fees. My last mortgage company did just that and I will always resent that!
