This letter will serve as my response to the Revdex.com complaint filed by [redacted] After receiving and reading the complaint it was realized that [redacted] misread or misunderstood the Town of [redacted] Towing Codes It is true that as a towing company we must advise the police department of the tow before towing a vehicle IF that vehicle is located on a public right of way or publicly owned property The vehicle related to this complaint was towed from private property, [redacted] When towing from private property the codes read differently As a tow company we have minutes from the time of the tow to report the vehicle information to the [redacted] Police Department when the tow takes place on private property Please see section 12-of the Town Code The [redacted] Police Department requests that we send this information to them on a Town form by way of fax This is the protocol that we follow on a routine basis. The employees of Campus Automotive have followed the Town of [redacted] guidelines as well as our own Company guidelines The vehicle in question was towed from private property for not having a required resident decal The tow was a legal tow and Campus Automotive has complied with all towing guidelines It is clear that no accountability on the part of the complainant or the person parking the vehicle on august 29, wants to be accepted The real complaint seems to be that the complainant is upset the vehicle was towed and not concerned about their own lack of responsibility as to why the vehicle was towed It is for this reason that I have chosen to refund the owner the cost for the tow in good faith that Campus Automotive is a superior customer oriented Company, always accepting our responsibility in the services we provideIn order to issue a refund check we will need the information on the person who claimed the vehicle from our company and an address to mail the check toSincerely, [redacted] ***Campus AutomotiveGeneral Manager

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am never going to accept the response but I realize that they do not care about the students or the complex that contracts with them and I will spread my story and will definitely advise people to never use or support  Campus Automotive.

My son is a resident. There was clearly a sticky area where his decal was. He was unaware that the sticker was even gone. $160 to tow a car directly across the street is ridiculous and if I was treated with any respect at all when I called I would not have been near as upset as I was. This company is trolling parking lots looking for these situations. We proved that my son lived there, the apartment complex even called and spoke with them.  The least they could do was work with us.   This is a community of kids who do not have any money at all. They are working to pay tuition and apartment bills and now ridiculous towing bills.  Thanks for the respect for the community that keeps you in business....I will be sure to spread the word about how unfairly you treat students.

I am writing this letter as my response to the Revdex.com complaint #[redacted] submitted by [redacted].  Ms. [redacted] did in fact have a valid parking pass that was not displayed where our wrecker operator could see it.  In fact on the rearview mirror there was a visitor...

pass that had expired and Ms. [redacted] knew that it was her responsibility to properly display the parking pass for view.  Our wrecker operator did not see any valid visitor pass during the night hours when the vehicle was towed.  The next morning Ms. [redacted] arrived at our tow office and was taken out to the impound lot to view her vehicle by our on duty dispatcher and the pass was located in the fold of the driver seat face down.  I have attached photographs of the way the pass was found inside the car.  At night time it would have been very difficult for our driver to locate this pass and even if he had the pass was lying face down and could not have been read by our driver.  Again, it is Ms. [redacted]’s responsibility to properly display the visitor pass in her vehicle.  As for the damage to the vehicle, there were two scratches found behind the right rear wheel well area on the back bumper.  Our drivers are responsible for taking photographs of any noticeable damage when the vehicle gets towed.  At times it is difficult to see damage especially at night time and in this instance our driver did not notice the scratches until he arrived back in our well-lit impound area and at that time he took a photo of the scratches.  When I checked the time differences on the photos I advised Ms. [redacted] that we would take care of the damage at no expense to her as I could not show that we for sure did not do the damage.  Ms. [redacted] made an appointment with our collision center and we repaired the damage and no expense to her.  Ms. [redacted] made reference to it being apparent that our equipment or trucks had done this damage.  It is very apparent when a 12,000 pound truck hits a vehicle and in this instance I do not feel that we damaged the vehicle but in the interest of superior and professional customer service, we fixed her vehicle at no cost to her.  Most people do not like to be held accountable for their actions or mistakes in life.  Ms. [redacted] made a mistake when she failed to properly display her visitor pass on the rear view mirror of her vehicle and she was held accountable.  Ms. [redacted] could not look at this situation objectively or with reason.  Ms. [redacted] also made another mistake by taking a personal attack on my character without properly following up on my background.  I look forward to small claims court with Ms. [redacted] if that is the decision she makes as I will bill her for every single documented minute that myself and our staff have had to work to resolve this issue to and including court time for our staff having to be there. There will be no refund given and certainly no apology for holding Ms. [redacted] accountable for her lack of action.  Again, I have attached photos as to how we found the visitor passes in Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle.Thank you,[redacted]Campus AutomotiveGeneral Manager

This letter will serve as my response to the Revdex.com complaint filed by [redacted].  After receiving and reading the complaint it was realized that [redacted] misread or misunderstood the Town of [redacted] Towing Codes.  It is true that as a towing company we must...

advise the police department of the tow before towing a vehicle IF that vehicle is located on a public right of way or publicly owned property.  The vehicle related to this complaint was towed from private property, [redacted].  When towing from private property the codes read differently.  As a tow company we have 30 minutes from the time of the tow to report the vehicle information to the [redacted] Police Department when the tow takes place on private property.  Please see section 12-424 of the Town Code.  The [redacted] Police Department requests that we send this information to them on a Town form by way of fax.  This is the protocol that we follow on a routine basis. The employees of Campus Automotive have followed the Town of [redacted] guidelines as well as our own Company guidelines.  The vehicle in question was towed from private property for not having a required resident decal.  The tow was a legal tow and Campus Automotive has complied with all towing guidelines.  It is clear that no accountability on the part of the complainant or the person parking the vehicle on august 29, 2015 wants to be accepted.  The real complaint seems to be that the complainant is upset the vehicle was towed and not concerned about their own lack of responsibility as to why the vehicle was towed.  It is for this reason that I have chosen to refund the owner the cost for the tow in good faith that Campus Automotive is a superior customer oriented Company, always accepting our responsibility in the services we provide. In order to issue a refund check we will need the information on the person who claimed the vehicle from our company and an address to mail the check to.
