Review: Back in May of 2013 we purchased a pool from Sunco Pools LLC. The install process was started at the end of July 2013 and they explained to us at the first appointment that they would have the permit pulled for the pool. When they came out in July to start the excavation they asked us for the permit, and no permit. The lady said that she forgot to pull it. They went ahead and did the excavation and then told us that the removal of dirt was not included in the price of the pool, but they told us that because of all the set backs which they owned up to being at fault for the issues that they would remove the dirt. Our pool was completed in the middle of August and it is now the end of September and the 2 piles of dirt are still in our back yard. We have texted, e-mailed and called and they will not respond. All we want is the dirt removed. We 2 children and they have friends over and it is a safety hazard for my children.Desired Settlement: We would like them to come out to remove the dirt.

Dear [redacted],

I am writing in response to a letter I received (ID number [redacted]) regarding a complaint made by [redacted] against my business SuncoPools LLC. [redacted] states that SuncoPools LLC did not obtain a building permit for a pool he purchased from us and that we did not remove excess dirt from his yard. We simply do not supply building permits for our customers. What we do is help customers obtain building permits themselves. I did agree to move the dirt for him because I felt it was something we could do to make up for the misunderstanding regarding the permit and the subsequent hold up of his pool installation.

With regard to the removing [redacted]' dirt, we had the removal date scheduled for Thursday October 3. 2013- which is four days after the complaint was filed. It is later than we would have liked but we simply were not able to get back on site until that time for various reasons. Which I did explain to [redacted].

I just want it to be known that we have been more than accommodating to [redacted] regarding this pool installation. We deducted money from his original bill because he claimed we caused a breaker to trip when installing the pool that ultimately cost him $200 in spoiled food. This is something we had absolutely nothing to do with, yet we offered compensation in the form of a credit just to keep him happy. Obviously, we did not keep him happy enough.

We are honest, hard-working people just trying to make a living putting in pools. We are not perfect but we do not lie to or take advantage of our customers. The dirt will be removed from [redacted]’ yard on October 3, 2013. This should resolve his complaint against us.
