The service through Suncoast Beach Vacation Rentals is absolutely unacceptableI rented a bedroom condo through them on Maderia Beach for my boyfriend, me, and another couple friend of oursFirst they changed our unit number which wouldn't have been a big deal, except that they only provided us with the actual building, not the unit number I had never been there before so how am I supposed to know that?? Cheisn't until pm, so we arrive at 4:on a Sunday, where I expected to check in at the office since I received no other cheinformation and that is a reasonable assumption to make The office is closed I call SCBVR at 4:three times in a row - Keep in mind that their hours go until pm I left voice messagesWe find out that SCBVR is an minute drive down the road We show up at PM almost on the dot and nobody is there Clearly someone left early
My friend is very good at 'finding people' and was able to track down the owner He called her and she said she couldn't talk He texted her and told her it was an emergency and *she never got back to us!!* All of the hotels are booked for the weekend so we stay at a friend's place that night - on a night that we paid for
Fast forward to the next morning We go to the office at the condo because they were open before Suncoast was Apparantly my name was not even in the system so I couldn't even park there So we drive to Suncoast to figure out what's going on When we arrive, they hardly apologize for what happened, offer the $application fee (which NOONE told me about for parking) and then expected the whole situation to be done We were like "are we going to get our money back for the night we missed out on" and that's when it went down We were calm and willing to figure everything out when we first arrived, but after their initial unwillingness to work with us and make up for the many mistakes they made which lead to a horrible first day of vacation, things started to unwind quickly Almost as soon as it started to get heated, the owner walked away and let us deal with the poor secretary Granted I believe all of the mix ups where partly the secretaries fault, but when a situation like this happens, the owner (or manager, or whomever is in charge) is responsible That is the type of company this is We left with a much smaller amount of money back than we should have received, and they kept trying to give us less than the rest of the market would have reimbursed us I took this up with my credit card company and they are taking them through the litigation process
Additionally, I must have looked incredibly lost when I first arrived at the condo, because the sweetest woman ever asked me if I needed helpWhen I told her the situation she said that this kind of thing happens with Suncoast ON A REGULAR BASISShe told me that she personally helped a Sweedish man who didn't even speak English figure out what was going on with the condo, as well as an elderly couple - who all had mix-ups because of Suncoast
